I hate to seemingly be the only person on earth who has a negative review to post. My mother and I have been a bit disappointed the past 4 times we ate at Fradelizio's, but kept going back because we love the atmosphere. After a while your memory fades and you forget why you had been disappointed the last time you were there. It is very cozy and inviting and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. My mother ordered the Carbinara. The menu lists this dish as simply 'Carbinara'. No description at all, so when the dish arrived not at all what we excepted, it was a bit of a let down. Carbinara is most commonly made with bacon or panceta, and eggs tossed in. This was instead a creamy mushroom Carbinara, and if there was any bacon in it all, you couldn't tell. Not very tasty. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi. The menu describes the wine garlic butter sauce...but makes no mention at all about the penne pasta with marinara sauce that is served along side of the shrimp. So there is two major sauces served, together on the same plate, running together. Not good. I had hoped for rice along with the scampi, which is most commonly offered. Afterwards we ordered each a Cappuccino. Although it is served with a small but very tasty biscotti along side, even this was a disappointment. The Cappuccino was very weak in flavor, and luke warm! (I remember it being this way last time also.) For the price we paid, we left feeling very underwhelmed. Love the ambiance, love the friendliness...but I don't think we'll be going back...

My family and I have been loyal patrons of Fradelizo's for years, and it's truly a cornerstone of the community. The moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by the warm and friendly staff who know us by name. It's like stepping into a second home.
The food is consistently exceptional—traditional Italian dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Every meal feels like a lovingly crafted, authentic Italian feast. The flavors are rich, the portions are generous, and you can taste the quality in every bite.

There's a genuine feeling of community, with half the guests knowing each other and sharing stories over delicious food.

Read moreMy wife and I have been going to Fradelizio's since the Reagan administration. Ok, I exaggerate (it's actually a quote from Kubrick's “Eyes Wide Shut”] but it's that kind of a place. For the last ten years we have three defaults to: Okay, let's go out to eat tonight. And Fradelizio's has always been one of them. You can depend on it when you can't think. Like, uh, don't want to cook, shall we? Okay where? And up pops the answer. Just roll up and there it is, unpretentiously local, always friendly, always and always the good Italian food. Love the carafes of their house wine. As for the menu, I have my favourites, as does my wife and we always have a great time there. As for: Is the food always good? Silly question. I mean, is the food you cook at home always good? When you go to a favourite place over the years, do they miss a beat? Probably, but I can't remember what or when. Leave it to jazz players to nail you for a wrong note. I just want to have fun with my music. Same with my food. And that we do at Fradelizio's. Yum. It's like family there, You feel at home. I hope it...
