I experienced the worst experience this evening after my wife ordered a family meal at Halal Guys â. Once I arrived, I provided a guy called â Rami,â my wifeâs order and phone number! The guy objected o could not give you the food! If you are a delivery guy, show me the phone screen! I added this is for my family, and he refused to give me the food. I had to talk to my wife who called them that he is my husband and the food is for the family! This is a clear case of unconscious bias that rami and his colleague were engaged in. I never experienced this is throughout my adult life in any cafe or restaurant ( name it chipotle Panera Dunkin donuts, and the list goes on). Tonight experience made me sad and angry at the same time sorry that In the 21st century an international food chain is still employing such individuals with zero customer service and zero communication skills No more ordering for this place and even 1 star is too much for...
Read moreI've loved the halal guys since my first bite over a decade ago. Granted I had it in NY first, so I was able to enjoy the original taste. This location is nothing like what the original offered. But the crazy rise in prices along with a lack in quality of the food is really turning me away from this food. The beef is always dry and the chicken is way less succulent than it used to be. I just tried the lamb and I could barely stomach the food. It was honestly some of the worst lamb I've ever had in my life. I've had halal lamb before and what this location offers is NOT acceptable. I typically never leave any morsel of food behind but I would have thrown up if I finished that platter. Honestly, utterly disgraceful. On top of the lack of taste and quality of food, they're increasing prices?? And charging for the add-ons, like jalapeùo, which used to be included? Not sure what the hell management is thinking but this is 100% completely...
Read moreWorkers there are great, Shout-out to Noland! Food is really nice for the price, and the hot sauce is actually hot for a change. It's the closest thing you can get to authentic Mediterranean food in this area and still be considered "fast food".
It's a Subway-style place where all the ingredients are freshly made and laid out in front, and you kinda make your own meal. Service is fast on non-busy times, and I kinda like the simplicity the place gives by not crowding the menu with toppings or choices, just focus on making that they have great. Their Baklava is also pretty decent if a bit on the pricey side.
Only 4 stars because they recently bumped up pricing on all meal options by 1 dollar, and while it certain isn't BAD, as a college student bang-for-your-buck is key for me. But even then it's still a nice chill spot for food with friends or by yourself, and I will definetly...
