All I can say is WOW🤯! This was one of the best birthdays 🎉 I've had in a long time! All of my dinner guests had an amazing time🥳. From the time we were seated🪑, to the end of the meal, we were well taken care of by the staff. Whoever the bar tender🍸was, she knew what she was doing and understood her assignment very well. I could only get through one drink🥴! The food was plentiful, fresh, and delicious😋! It felt like the chef was constantly putting food on our plates 🍽 as he continued to cook🔪. The show he put on was entertaining and exciting. My favorite part was the shrimp tossing🍤! The drum 🥁 and tambourines for the birthday song 🎶 was loud and so much fun! The atmosphere was full of excitement and there was lots of laughter😆 going on at the other hibachi tables around us. My friends have already said they will be coming back. Thank you 🤗 Fairfax Samurai Japanese Steakhouse for helping to make my birthday dinner a success!👏👏👏

I thought the food was fine. The soup and salad provided before the main course we're good. The "event" of having the showman chef cook in front of you is a lot of fun. We used a Groupon and that made the price feel reasonable. I generally would never pay $30 for an entree otherwise. The host was a gringo with a tie dyed t-shirt under his ink stained uniform shirt but all other employees appeared to be Asian and attired for their position. I mention this mainly because his dress and demeanor were not at all what we were expecting. But he was nice enough. The tables need a thorough detailed scrubbing. Still, if the opportunity arises I would go back but I probably won't make a point of it.

Tried sushi for the very first time at this place! I couldn't ever forget about this place because this is where I had sushi for the very first time, had the spicy Sushi combo to be exact. They have excellent hibachi, been here for their hibachi for a total of 2 birthdays now. Their Sushi is excellent. But the main reason I keep coming back to Samurai is for their amazing sushi buffet! It's $8-$9 or so and it includes an all-you-can-eat sushi plus the buffet includes popular Chinese dishes, it's a steal! Just keep in mind their Buffet isn't all day, it runs from 11am-2pm last time I checked. Highly recommend you check this place out.

Honestly this was my first time going to this restaurant. I expected way more.... Get there around 6:30pm, wasn’t really greeted at all. The lady that finally came asked us how many in our party? I advised four and that we would like the hibachi. She advised that they were full but we could get the hibachi while being seated at a regular table. Ok cool, no problem at all. She seats us. I guess they didn’t have enough menus so we had to share. Then the waiter comes out (nice guy actually; I felt really bad for him because it wasn’t his fault), and asks us what would we like to drink? We give him that order, waited like maybe 10 minutes for that. No biggie. Now it was food time. We ordered some food from the hibachi grill, he said we couldn’t because we weren’t over there, but we told him that thr lady that seated us said we could since there wasn’t any room. He said ok cool. Once he had our order, we waited literally almost an hour for the food. I was honestly pissed because there really wasn’t an excuse for that long of a wait. When I asked him how much longer it would take he advised t would be another 20 minutes. He apologize for the long wait. I was so heated I actually put a timer on my phone to see if it would take another 20, as well as called another restaurant and made reservations there because I was ready to leave. Literally after 10 minutes into the 20 minute timer, thr waiter comes out with two entrees that weren’t from the hibachi grill (not sure why it took an hour for that to get cooked since they weren’t from the hibachi grill but whatever), then 5 minutes later the other 2 entrees came out. Somehow we ended up with 5 entrees at the end, the fried rice was cold, the appetizer looked more like it was just put together. Not sure now that’s happened but it is what it is. I’m givin this restaurant 1 star main,y for thr waiter. He was trying very hard to keep us calm (mainly me) and I appreciate his patience and service. As for the management of that restaurant, I’m not happy and I more will not be back. Consider this my first and LAST experience with you. And if any friend asks, I will not recommend you all at all. As for the waiter, thank you for your service. It’s not your fault and we weren’t upset with you. If I was writing a review for thr waiter he would get 10 stars, but as for this restaurant, you are lucky to even get one cause I would...

The one star is for being dishonest - no honor of the promised deal. I saw lunch and dinner deals on Groupon and purchased them due to great deals (50%off) and high reviews on Google. Read all the fine prints and visited the website for additional info, and thought I’d be able to use the coupon. Came to the place sometime on August, staff said buffet is not ready this month, sorry for not posting the info on the website. Ok!No problem, I’ll just try other food and come back another time. 10/11: came back, staff said the $20 lunch Groupon can’t be redeemed by itself, must purchase with something else. I said it’s not included in the fine prints. Staff said sorry, we corrected the deal on Groupon website. Lots of sorry’s later we couldn’t come to a solution. Then we checked the fine prints. Weird thing: even the title said lunch buffet, now the fine prints said dinner. I’m sure this was changed after my purchase, because the email receipt still stated lunch for 2 between 11:30 to 2:30. Plus, I also have another deal for dinner which stated clearly dinner. I’ll deal with Groupon later. But with this restaurant, 1st, the staff repeatedly sorry for correcting the deal after my purchase. Then later seeing that even the title and description of the deal stating it’s for lunch, she’s still refer to the fine prints. That’s...

It was my first time to go to this restaurant and what struck me right away is VERY poor customer service. After waiting for sometime, my friend had to go ask the waiter standing near the kitchen area to be given glasses of water. And when I came over to ask to add specific drinks and inquired if no one usually waits the table in their restaurant and would like to know how their restaurant works, I was told, with a defensive attitude and tone of voice he replied,"Here is fine. Your friend already ordered." I told him she only ordered for her and her kids so I'm ordering. As I went back to get my food from the buffet, I overheard one of the waiters, "That lady is mad at the world." And when I came back around to ask where the manager is and remind them about how important it is to treat their customers well, the waiter just replied, "You are fine." My parents had a business for 40+ years and taught us to value our clients. I think the owner of Samurai needs to gather his employees and remind them about customer service 101. I was told that the manager comes at 3 pm so if there's a complaint, you can't even talk to a person who should be addressing issues like unhappy customers like me. I guess the solution is not to go back there and save...
