Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Virginia

This is an observation off the last 3-4 times that I’ve been into this location in the last month. The food and smoothies are great, however the customer service has quickly decreased in a manner that makes me not want to go back to that location again. They weren’t friendly and he stood there at the register loooking around but not talking to me. I said nothing to him until he spoke to me and looked at my face, after about ten seconds of standing there. I actually forced him to ask “can I help you” by saying nothing as I stood there, with him standing at the register looking at everything but me. Been to this location about 50 times or so with my wife and kids but not going again. You can have the greatest smoothies on the planet, but when I like the product but not the people preparing it, you lose...

The staff at Tropical Smoothie are nice and friendly, as the young guy who took our order offered my friend and I some of his recommendations for smoothies. I took my usual, the mocha madness, which was good, but I felt like there were too many ice crystals, making it feel more like a slush rather than smoothie. However, my friend ordered based on the cashier’s recommendation, which was the blueberry bliss, so when I grabbed my straw to try hers, I noticed it was much evenly blended then mine. I can’t say my smoothie was the best, but I am willing to give this place another chance because I can tell the staff here are really hardworking and kind. Today I lost a crisp $50 bill in Tropical Smoothie Cafe. When I realized, in a panic, I called the store. Someone had found it and turned it in. I'm so happy to know there are honest/good people out there still. I raced back to pick it up. The staff here are the best!!!

I would like to think of myself as a regular to this location. I get a smoothie from here once or twice a week. The staff is always super friendly and they have gone out of their way to remember my complicated, yet repetitive order. Every time I walk in I am greeted by name and they get started on my drink before I have even finished paying. I recommend this location to anyone!
