I stood at the pickup counter thinking I was invisible. The staff that works the hot food behind the pickup counter completely ignored me. When a drive-thru staffer came near the counter where I was standing (forever) I had to yell Excuse Me, to get her attention. If I didn't know better she did not want to make eye contact. After I got her attention she questioned the person standing next to her and she responded by holding up a little bag and ask me it its mine after she tossed it to the counter. I responded 'how would I know ?' Then the person I questioned lifted up a receipt that was laying in the 'pick up' slip printer and said ...this yours? And I said is it a macchiato? Then she took off to the coffee section and yelled to me its being made right now. In my 20 plus years of retail as management, I would term the person working the hot food. All she did was walk around and avoid eye contact. The person from the window realized what happened and got it done but, never took the time to apologize although we both know who dropped the ball.
I go to Dunkin 4 days a week for at least two drinks totaling over 13 bucks. I would think the pickup station would get more respect then it does here. I usually frequent the store at Myrtle in Boonton, its open 24 hours with a full assortment of doughnuts all the time. And I will say, when the pickup slip printer makes a beeping sound they are all over it. If it wasn't for Myrtle reopening and going 24 hours with great service and doughnuts in stock at all times (other stores in the area have zero stock as the 5 o'clock hour rolls in) I was going to return to starbucks.
In my opinion the Myrtle store has the best management among all the locations I have tried...
Read moreI would definitely have given this Dunkin location a five except for the fact that you never know as a customerwhen they are going to lock the front door at all random times of tge day. This dunkin location is great and run well if and when a customer can walk into it when they are supposed to be open. The last two times I tried to go there (once around 3:00 pm; another time around 8 pm) the front door was intentionally locked by the employees inside. I even phoned them from out front and asked what is the story here with locking the door during online advertised hours of operation? They said they choose to do that when they feel they do not have enough help on duty. But, they put all emphasis on the drive-up window. I NEVER drink coffee or eat in my car. This is a real turn-off, and deters me as a customer from wanting to go out of my way to visit this Dunkin as I used to do, because I have always in tge past liked this particular Dunkin store location. It is a real shame, and surely will make them lose more and more walk-in business. People see this, and get very disappointed, and just go walk into the QuickChek or Wah-Wah stores which are next to and across the street from...
Read moreOut for a walk and thought I'd stop in for coffee and donut. Got there about 5:50am. Door was locked and no store hours posted on door. People using driving thru but didn't want to walk thru the drive thru so I waited. About 6:03am person working inside hung up apron and walked out. Asked when the door was going to be unlocked and worker said that some one was coming and that they were always late. In the meantime no service for drive thru for others. Still waiting outside and about 6:15am I see a person inside store. Person sees me and in sort of pantomime fashion tells me to use drive thru. So in my best pantomime I try and gesture that I have no car and that I'm walking and can the door be unlocked. He turns his back and starts helping drive thru customers. I was not the only one who was frustrated as others were waiting in the parking lot to go inside the store. I left and got coffee next door. Drove by the location this morning and large sign outside says, "HELP WANTED". That is an understatement! Negative 3 stars! Beyond bad service when there...
