I first visited Lisa's Kitchen about 6 months ago. It was sporadic at first but now, I try to visit at least once a week.
I went back after my first visit because the whole experience reminded me of a different diner that I used to frequent, in another town. I have many memories of eating there with my 1st daughter l, when she was just a toddler. She is now 13 and still remembers the other place and also thought Lisa's reminded her of it.
I'm usually by myself, when I dine at Lisa's. However, I have brought my father in law and my 3 oldest children to have a wonderful dining experience at Lisa's.
I've eaten a good portion of the menu items, during my many visits. I've had traditional breakfast foods, burgers, patty melts, other hot sandwiches and many side items. I have never ordered something that I did not like!
The service is always good and here is just a few reasons why:
Whether I order coffee, Coke or just a water, Dawn and Missy (I usually have one of them taking care of me) never leave me thirsty.
They are always checking back with me to see if I need anything else.
As they check back they are also attentive and make sure to pre-bus any dishes I am done using.
As a former server those are three simple actions that is my metric for excellent service. Dawn and Missy are more than excellent!
I sometimes get Lisa as my server and that's always a special treat for me. There's just something about complimenting the owner about the great quality of her food, staff and service.
In Conclusion: Food is always cooked fresh, served hot and tastes amazing! Service is always amazing. Once I had someone other than Dawn, Missy or Lisa. (I apologize for drawing a blank on her name). Anyway, that dining experience was wonderful, as expected. She treated me as if I was a customer she had been serving personally for years. Servers, Cooks, Cashiers are always Accurate and Attentive. It's clear that this is a well liked establishment because I often see the same breakfast or lunch crowd. Everyone seems happy and the staff makes everyone feel at home and like family! I've lived in many smaller towns, over the years. My favorite part of small towns is frequenting the local diner. Even though this establishment isn't really in a small town, Lisa's Kitchen has most effectively pulled off the "Hometown Feel" and I thoroughly enjoy eating there from...
Read moreI just came from Lisa's kitchen it was a carry out order and they had some good reviews so I thought I would try it but I must say I was very disappointed it was my husband and I first and last time eating there. I had french toast and sausage, hashrowns. The frech toast didn't have no flavor to it. It seemed as they put some butter on some bread and slapped it in the microwave. Didn't even taste like French toast The syrup was nasty and the hashbrowns werent done. The sausage was cold and They gave us hashbrown free but I rather not have gotten it for free if i knew it wasnt going be done. My husband order a. cheeseburger with fries and the hamburger looked more like it should have been a slider. The little burger ..started slidding off there was so much bread that you would think that the burger was big but it wasn't and the french fries no seasoning horrible. Waste of money wont be returning there worst breakfast ever and I think these reviews our false and the people that are writing these reviews are family and...
Read moreWe arrived, it was busy. Girl at counter said there is a two seat table over there, otherwise it'll be about 10 minutes. It took several minutes for the busy waitress to get our order. A couple nearby was still waiting for their order. A big table with kids had placed their order. A couple came in, was seated AFTER us, & got served BEFORE us. After 45 minutes, the nearby couple finally got served. The big table STILL wasn't served. So, we got up, told the waitress we were leaving. She said didn't they tell you when you came in that it would be 45 minutes to get your food. I said NO. We would have left right then. So now, we are in another restaurant, an hour later, waiting on food Will NOT return to Lisa's Kitchen. The LAST time we were there was years ago, & as we were leaving, saw MOLD on their red velvet cake sitting under a glass dome on a cake plate near the register. Would not...
