We read that the dining room was open. We went to Pyramid Hill park and decided to look for an Indian restaurant nearby afterwards. We paid over $50 for dinner only to have it served in styrofoam!?? They are not serving in the dining room although you are able to sit in. They will not take your order at the table.. you order as if you are getting takeout and then they bring it to you, again, in styrofoam. We couldn't even get a fountain drink. The mango Lassie was already made and sitting in a cooler... it wasn't fresh. I honestly have had much better quality Indian cuisine at other places. The blend of spices seemed to be thrown together and lacking. It looked sloppy and unappetizing. And the naan was bland. On a good note, my husband got lamb and it was cooked to perfection. This place seems like an American fast food carryout Indian establishment... Down to the Americanized decor. I would not return if I lived in that area.. especially for the price. Maybe we just ended up on a bad day? I was disappointed though with the quality of the food honestly, for the price and presentation and the...
Read moreVisited Cincinnati recently and wanted Indian for lunch. We arrived at about 2:15pm on a Friday. They were just about to close. We'd been driving for 3 hours and wanted lunch before we went to our final destination.
Although we weren't able to eat in, they did make us some food for take out. Was very impressed.
We got the Chicken Tika Masala and Lamb Korma lunch specials. The price seemed a little steep for lunch... until we got the food. And oh my goodness, it was worth it! The chicken was great, but the lamb was superb.
We like to eat... but the portion size was huge. We could have shared one portion between us. We ate half of what we had for lunch and the rest for supper on the way home.
The taste of the lamb was some of the best I've had. And the quantity was extremely generous.
We only go to Cincinnati a couple of times a year. But next time, we will stop back and try and get there when they are open...
Read moreOm India is my go-to for Indian food near where I work. I’ve tried several Indian restaurants in the area and they are hands down the best option, everything is fresh, good quality and cooked to order. They have a varied menu with all the classic Indian dishes you would expect, and a few surprises. My mainstay is the Seekh Kabob, it’s minced chicken and spices rolled on a skewer and grilled, then tossed with vegetables and mixed in a sweet and sour sauce. I prefer extra spicy with a side of paneer naan. They do have a dining room but since Covid it has remained pretty low key and informal. You order up front, grab a bottle of water from the cooler (included with order) and have a seat and they’ll bring the food to your table in a to-go box. This is a good thing, as the portions are very generous. You also won’t care about the informal dining room once you start to devour some of the best Indian food...
