We had some work in the Fairfield area and were looking for some quick bite for lunch after a heavy breakfast and this coffee house had good reviews. However, after a visit, it didn't impress me as much.
Food: We went for a Cafe Latte and Chai Tea Latte, to begin with, along with Apple Cinamon Raisin Muffin and Grilled Caprese Sandwich. Cafe Latte was disappointing - the milk to coffee ratio was highly skewed towards milk and the coffee taste was just missing. Chai Tea Latte was okay - it had the same problem of the ratio of tea to milk being skewed towards milk. However, they scored well in the muffin and sandwich. Muffin was great - warm, soft and delicious. Enjoyed every piece of it. The sandwich was good too. Bread was a bit over-grilled but was still edible. In my second trip, I went for Cafe Au Lait and, so stupid of me, I forgot to tell about "less milk". So, even after going for a dark roast, the coffee taste wasn't really coming out well.
Ambiance: The ambiance is pretty good. There is a large leather sofa, cushion chairs and a fireplace on one side and there are contemporary style wooden chair-tables on the other side. The lighting was little less and unfortunately, the only source of natural light - the large glass window on the right of the entrance was largely blocked by the blinds and some winter toys. So, it is largely dependent on artificial lighting. Wall art was good, though. However, the overall ambiance could be more contemporary.
Staff: The cafe was run by only two people and considering that they have a drive-through, it was definitely not adequate. And, among the lady and the young man, it was the lady who was handling the most of it since it appeared that the young man was still learning stuff. Perhaps, that's why you should expect some delay in service, just like in our case. Having said that, both of them were good and friendly.
Overall, it's a good place for food but definitely not for coffee if they can't get Cafe Latte and Chai Tea...
Read moreI'm almost 9 months pregnant and wanted to go walking somewhere. We don't live in Fairfield but found a park to go to and Fairfield Coffee happened to be nearby. The young adults at our church constantly go here each weekend AND I saw that they had latte buckets on Tiktok - an immediate request to add this to our walking trip.
There is plenty of parking and the atmosphere inside is wonderful. Very chill and perfect for studying or getting work done. They also have a drive-thru, which I missed until we were actually in the shop.
We ordered a caramel sutra iced latte bucket. The lady taking our order was super nice, didn't rush us, and was happy to answer any of our questions. The latte itself was REALLY good for not having asked for extra flavor (I typically have to ask this at any local/non chain coffee shop). My husband and I walked at a nearby park for 1hr and shared the bucket the whole time. Delicious latte and having a bucket with a handle was a very easy way to go on a walk with coffee. We will definitely be...
Read moreAlthough I have only used the drive through, after seeing the pictures on here, it seems more like a home turned into a restaurant. Unsure why there's a sofa setting with smaller high bar sitting. The drive through menu doesn't have all the menu options besides the beverages, basically just warm stuff.
The pictures show the inside menu with more beverages & eating options but the outside menu doesn't which is a bummer. No sizing or price is shown. I got a hot chocolate without even knowing there was sizes or the prices until reaching the window. I'm unsure how they got so many ratings, I understand people should be compassionate but 5 stars should critique the place of service where it highlights only the good part. The hot chocolate wasn't as good, it tasted like something from the store in those hot chocolate packets. I would come back to try the rest of the other items if I'm around & update my review but as for now I don't think...
