Rustwater has an outstanding selection of beers on draft along with a variety of canned crafted beers that you wouldn't normally find elsewhere. The food is fantastic as well. The only downside to the place is the staff who often make you feel unwanted. The guy who runs the place is awesome and does a great job taking care of his guests. He is the reason I go back. Some of the other staff, not so much. One specific bartender always has a bad attitude and negative energy. She has refused to serve me on a busy day because I was not with a group of people. Her reasoning was lack of seating space. There were plenty of open seating spots on communal benches but she refused service to me 3 times over a span of 90 minutes. As much as a I love rustwater, the unpleasant demeanor of this one specific bartender has resulted in me finding other places to enjoy a cold beer in town. She always has a problem everytime I go to there. She does not know me personally and based on my last visit, I know she does not recognize me at all. She probably treats...
Read moreOnly been once but so far rather impressed. Let's be honest, 4 stars is pretty darn good. Great selection of beers on tap plus cans/bottles representing an eclectic mixture of stouts, IPAs, lagers, sours, etc. I'd prefer a few more pilsner/lager options but I get it, not many breweries are focusing on those these days. They also feature some great local wineries: GV, Wooden Valley, and Galvan from what I could tell. I may bump them up to 5 stars as I gain more experience there but only took away 1 star (in reality 1/2 a star) for 2 reasons: I would love to have a full menu in front of me detailing not only the brew and wine options but also describing the food options. I got a hot dog with chili and cheese but come to find out the chili was all beans and no meat. Again not any kind of a deal-breaker and I will definitely be back because it's a great watering hole with...
Read moreI Stopped in amidst a 6 hr commute, and was looking forward to getting out of the car and having a bite to eat. The one bartender who helped me was very nice. I had my 5lb dog with me in her carrier bag. Typically I don’t have a problem when we go into establishments. I was told we had to go outside if we wanted service. I respect that and normally I wouldn’t mind one bit, except it was 45 degrees outside. So I asked if I could just get it to go and would eat in my car. For some reason they weren’t doing any orders to go. They did make an exception. I ordered a burger, which came out super fast, so we were outside for long. Which I really appreciated. The burger was delicious! Overall a good experience, I just wish they had some outdoor heaters or a fire pit so I could’ve stayed and enjoyed...
