Today’s review is… Beau’s Grille located at 3180 W Market St, Akron, OH 44333. This is my first-time dining here, so I was excited. We had ten in our party. We were there for a graduation dinner, and we had a reservation. My honest tasting would've been 3.5 stars. Upon arrival, the restaurant was clean, and the hostess staff was nice. They led us to where the rest of the party was sitting and gave us our menus. As we waited on our final person in our party, our waitress Katy greeted us. On a scale of 1-10, I would give her overall score of 6. The way she spoke to us made us feel as though she did not think that we understood her in reference to how we could pay our tabs as well as a few other things. While placing our orders, I gave the water a taste, and the water was really good. I drank about 3 glasses which is a lot of water for me a restaurant. I am unsure if bread at the table is complementary, but we had to ask for it. It came to the table warm, served with individual wrapped butter which was served very cold. The bread was good. With the amount of people that we had in our party, the food, appetizers and entrees came out in a decent amount of time. I ordered the Medium Hot Banana Peppers for my appetizer and the 12oz. Grilled Pork Chop with Yukon Mashed Potatoes and Mixed Veggies drizzled with BBQ sauce. The presentation of the food was nice. The peppers were boring for my liking. They lacked flavor all around and the tomato sauce that came with it was a bit on the sweet side for me. My husband ordered the Kevin’s New Orleans Shrimp Over Cheddar which was served over jalapeno grits. The name is weird and doesn’t really help make you understand what you are going to get, but I must say, it was better than my appetizer. The 12oz. pork chop meal was ok. I am unsure if I would get it again, but it was not bad, just didn’t meet up to my expectations. My overall thoughts of this restaurant… My expectations were set high. They did not whole heartedly meet my expectations, but I would go back and give them another try. I don’t know what I would order next because the menu did not excite me, but I am sure I would be able to...
Read moreWe’ve never sought a restaurant inside a hotel before, but there’s a first for everything and we are SO glad we found this flavorsome little spot! From start to finish, our visit to Beau’s Grille was fantastic. The service was truly top tier and began before we even arrived — after indicating in our reservation that we were there for date night, the staff arranged their secluded and incredibly comfortable crescent booth just for us! (Pro-tip: if you want to try out Beau’s Grille, do be sure to make a reservation). Being in a corner booth, we didn’t get to experience much of the atmosphere and we’d love to go back and sit out on the terrace. To drink, we got the watermelon and garden cocktails. The watermelon cocktail was a bit on the strong side, but The Garden was pretty tasty! It comprised of cucumber vodka, a spritzer, and some cucumber and basil garnishes and was quite refreshing. To start, we decided to try the Funky Tuna Tartare and WOW was it wonderful. We’d never had tuna tartare before, but this dish sure made us glad we have. We highly recommend this if you enjoy sushi — they have very similar flavors! For our main dishes, we went with the seasonal Lobster Ravioli, as well as the house favorite Black Pepper Ravioli. Friends, believe us when we say… these are definitely not like your average ravioli dishes! The lobster ravioli was fresh and creamy, and the sun dried tomatoes added a nice bit of flavor. Additionally, the black pepper ravioli was chock-full of colorful veggies and had some of the most wonderful flavors we’ve had. All in all, we highly recommend that you check out this cozy little spot in the Hilton hotel. You’ll be treated with such kindness and your taste buds will thank you for...
Read moreService, makes a meal this restaurant lacks in that department. We stayed for 4 days & 3 nights We had a total of 4 meals the property. 2 in room service just Ok, Breakfast, toast wasn't toasted buttered COLD bread, my Omelette was good the potatoes were also very tasty. My friends eggs Benny were dried out and hollendaise sauce was watery. Dinner this was our best meal, Baked Potatoes & dinner salads
Our 2 in restaurant meals were not satisfieing. Night 1 our waiter wasn't what you would expect when spending $20+ on an entree. Took almost 15 minutes for him to acknowledge us, took a drink order we had drinks after about 10 minutes (soda & a beer) Never brought the pepper grinder, after offering. Disappointing dinner Our food wasn't hot, not tasty... Second dinner was before a show, my friend wanted a chicken salad sandwich, asked the waitress how it was prepared, she said onions tomatoes and peppers, NORMAL Rhonda got that, I opted for the Tuna.
There was NOTHING normal about the chicken salad, it had water chestnuts, beans sprouts, plus the items mentioned above...not a good sandwich. She had 1/2 of my tuna. I don't know how you mess up cut fresh fruit, most of it was not ripe.
It's is a lovely hotel, rooms aregood, wish the restaurant was too.
We brought it to the attention of the manager. nada
