Captain D's — Restaurant in Fairview Heights

Kids working here with attitudes and when the manager is asked for she isn't much nicer. The server tried to bring me a $4 potato because they ran out of fries. I agreed to pay for an upcharge, not a whole bag of potatoes. The boy turns around talking about "we can't do nothing with that". Why not? Because the food hasn't even been brought to me. It hasn't left the counter. The manager was nice at first but then got snotty and pushed my food towards me and walked away. She don't even know what was said or what happened. Especially how rude her staff is. All three of them were unprofessional. I'm not at work. However I act doesn't make a difference. You're the one that needs to keep it together. I didn't act stupid and I could have. The person behind me threw a fit and stormed out cussing too. 🤦🏼‍♀️ The lady at the table next to me is complaining about how they don't have any sour cream and nobody told her. I've seen two people walk out. Another get a refund. And I don't think they have gotten a drive-thru order correct since I've been sitting here eating with the amount of people that have walked in with food and a complaint. This place is a circus. I would give them 0 stars if it were a possibility. Let’s start with how horrible the building is. The floors are sticky, the windows look like they have never been cleaned by anyone. Then I went up to the register with my parents and waited ten minutes. Mind you no one was in line before us. No one, they had maybe 8 people dinning in that had already been served. We waited politely. While they joked around and talked about each other and used profanity before they even cared to acknowledge that they had costumers. We decided we were going to get something else for dinner, since they clearly didn’t want to service us. Then a guy came from the back and asked us to order. We decided to go somewhere else and he became upset with us like we were wasting his time. Complete incompetence.

They have a bunch of teenagers that work there and they could careless about people that they are serving food to. Then on top of all that the employee pointed us in the direction of the exit, like we were violating his space.

Told them I wanted my fish well done, and they went above and beyond by setting the whole building on fire! The workers were great; they torched the building to make sure I had crispy fish! When you want blackened fish, make sure you go to this one, because they'll burn the place down to make sure your order is nice and thoroughly cooked! They went above and beyond to make sure the order was the blackest of black by burning the entire building down! I mean sure, the dining room now smells of smoke, and the windows are full of soot, but man alive is it great to get some blackened fish like that! For real, this is the third building in this location, as all three have now burned down. Seriously, is this location cursed to have had THREE buildings burn down like this? Did you build on an ancient burial ground, or something? How do you explain three times (1996, 2005, 2025) you had buildings that all burned down?? I am at a...
