Karsyns Soule' — Restaurant in Fairview Heights

I places an order over the phone. The guy that took my order was nice. I asked that my food was ready at a specific time. It was ready at that time. I ordered catfish, shrimp, okra, corn nuggets, fries and cole slaw. So, I've never eaten corn nuggets before. Lol! On the ride home, I opened the plate and ate one of the corn nuggets. Lets just say when i got home, I only had 3 left. I couldn't wait to sit down at the table to eat. The food was fresh, my car didn't smell like fish, it was so good and wasn't salty. This is my new fish place now. I have sent so manny people here. I finally got a chance to get and order for myself and fiance'. I asked him how he liked the food. He gave me a thumbs up but never looked up. Lol! You have to try Karsyns Soule'...

I gave them 3 stars because the staff was pleasant and the place was clean. However, the food was bland and you have to come on certain days to get some of the signature items on the menu. So basically if you want the same fried foods that everyone else is cooking this is the place for you.

Update 03/05/2022- Tried the crab fries. Was the nastiest thing I ever tasted. They need to make a nacho cheese sauce and add some type of spices. It tasted like they used sliced cheese and added crab meat on top of the sliced cheese. If you don’t eat it right away it gets hard. I dropped the stars down to 2 after...

Was searching Google for somewhere to eat & found this place was near us and had good reviews. The catfish was honestly the best I've ever had hands down (& I've had a lot of catfish growing up by the river!) The breading was amazing & not even one fish down I called my parents to let them know they had to try this place out! My husband got the wings & also enjoyed his meal! (He wrote his own review). We spoke with the owner & her daughter took our order/ rang us up. Both were very kind & we enjoyed speaking while waiting for food to finish up.
