Metropolitan Cafe & Bagels — Restaurant in Fairview

After repeated late deliveries, today was the final straw. We placed a preorder two hours in advance for a 10:45 AM delivery, received confirmation, and even got a text at 10:26 AM saying it was on the way. Yet, more than an hour later—after multiple phone calls, only three of which actually reached a human— I was told different stories each time—either the driver was on the way, it was the next delivery, or that he was at the front door (which was a blatant lie, as I was standing there with no one in sight).

To make matters worse, when I finally asked to cancel the order and get a refund, I was hung up on. The food finally arrived and was cold, stale...

Ever since we moved back out to the east coast, we missed having a local bagel spot. This is single handily the greatest cafe, bagel shops cafe, breakfast spot around! Especially coming from a New Yorker. The staff are amazing, polite, attentive and Friendly. The food always hits! The food never misses! The food is consistently amazing, fresh, always delicious. They have the best bagels, listen argue with ya mama and ya local corner store ock. This place is a mainstay and i will never stop supporting them! Make sure you check out this local gem! In recent months I have ordered food that was mediocre for the following reasons. I ordered a spinach omelet and the spinach was going bad. You can tell because it didn't smell like fresh spinach. The breads have been toasted till blackening one too many times and the sandwiches barely have any taste to it. Delivery service... let me just say they need a bigger staff to help with the demands unless they're gonna keep using the excuse of being swamped with delivery orders. I gave up on this place.
