3rd time at this place, today I had lunch for the 1st time. Went in looking for sushi as advertised, but got a tasty and fresh lasagna instead stuffed with ground beef, ricotta, and cheddar cheese inside, with melted mozzarella cheese on the outside; complimented by fried plantains for $13 dollars. The bakery is very clean and of modern design with the classic amenities expected from a bakery that offers breakfast and lunch. Pastries are diverse and beautifully decorated. Fresh ingredients are key to fabulous food and pastries confection at this bakery. On the other hand I was disappointed with customer service. The 1st time, unlike today, I felt welcomed. Local customers support local businesses throughout the year, and attention to customer service is imperative for business growth. As a Google guide interested in promoting our local businesses, for the 1st time I identified as one and asked permission to take photos of the pastries and the food to be respectful, but was told in a unfriendly way that the photos and menu were already posted, only to find that photos were 26 days old; so I didn't take any photos as for my visit today. Today, the cashier was too busy looking at TV while I was asking for lunch, and the 2nd visit cashier was too busy talking to another person while I'm finalizing a purchase. Food , pastries, and coffee are really good. I'm sure they can improve...

Read moreIs rare that I genuine like someone else’s cake. However I must say I loved the cake prepared by El Ancla Bakery. The owner has a hand for desserts and the cake typical of Puerto Rico. The cake was perfect in texture truly perfect. And it was not super sweet or soaked in a overly flavored syrup. It was spongy, soft and with very delicate and fine crumb. Recommended. Plus the prices are very affordable. If you want to know what I am talking about they also sell pieces of the cake. You can try what is a very good genuine Puertorrican cake...
