Moonrise Cafe’s Breakfast Burrito: A Culinary Epiphany!

Ah, the sacred art of crafting the perfect breakfast burrito. Many have tried, most have failed, but the Moonrise Cafe has triumphed in what I like to call, the "Burrito Renaissance". Let me be perfectly, obnoxiously clear: Moonrise Cafe's breakfast burrito is not just a burrito. No, my dear readers, it is THE burrito.

It took me YEARS, yes, years of dedicated breakfast burrito consumption to find a specimen that made my palate dance the cha-cha and my soul sing. And all this time, all I had to do was take a jaunt to Fargo. I've traversed this land, eaten burritos from the East Coast to the West, even those trendy pop-ups that boast secret recipes from third-generation burrito artisans. But nothing, I mean NOTHING, even remotely comes close to the Moonrise Cafe's burrito.

The tortilla? A fluffy embrace that whispers promises of what lies within. The filling? A harmonious symphony of flavors that feels like the climax of a grand opera, with each note executed to perfection. The eggs, fluffier than the clouds I imagine angels sit on. The meats, seasoned to perfection, and the vegetables, oh! They must be sourced from the very gardens of Eden itself.

I've been waiting for a Fargo burrito for years!...

I'm going to be honest here to the fullest. I come here for one thing and this one thing makes this coffee shop my favorite in fargo. And that thing is their personal grilled cheese. I've had this grilled cheese about 6-8 times already as it's my one stop shop whenever I'm craving something simple and easy. But I today found out that my Grilled Cheese Pesto was not only downsized, but ruined by anything less of what people would call shrinkflation. It went for what have been a perfect meal with a size that would have filled anyone with bread that was delectable, to a measly piece of a white depressing slice of sadness. Not only that but when I looked in for the taste of just a perfect hint of pesto, it was just not there. They have bamboozled me into just giving me a middle of the road Grilled cheese. And even worse, it was for the same price. I WANT RETRIBUTION. Please, for all the sandwich enthusiasts like myself, make the change back and make us happy! I will long the return of the original Grilled Cheese Until then...

my girlfriend & I came down from minneapolis to visit family and we went to grab drinks & breakfast from moonrise! moonrise had such a fun atmosphere & cozy space for us to sit down and enjoy our food! I got a iced oat matcha with raspberry & my gf got an iced almond latte with vanilla, personally loved the diversity of their syrups and menu! we both split a bacon egg & cheese, chipotle breakfast burrito, & a poptart- all delicious! we were so surprised by the huge portions and we left feeling so full, it was crazy! there were three workers working upfront while the cafe was packed and they were all super sweet, even with the line out the door! if we are ever back in fargo, we’ll be back to visit moonrise again! absolutely...
