Drunken Noodle Review:
The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. It was absolutely disgusting. I went in to eat on a Saturday night - during the late night rush. It was not that busy when we arrived but the line quickly lengthened about 10 minutes after we had been there. I realize that they were very busy, but our experience was inexcusable. I and a friend ordered the Pad Thai
First, there were no numbers left so we had to wait at the front of the restaurant to hear our name called. It took about 30 minutes for our food to come out. While we were waiting for our food a worker came out with another group's food. He was trying to locate the patrons that the food belonged to. A girl said it was her friend's food. The girl said, "no, that isn't mine" the worker replied, "that's ok, you don't want to eat this stuff anyway."
Then, once our food finally came out my friend and I took a few bites. It tasted terrible. The noodles were completely overcooked and were not rice noodles, there was no lime or peanuts and the consistency of the sauce was more like macaroni and cheese. I cannot stress how terrible it tasted. After a few bites, we decided to ask for a refund.
When we took our food up and asked for a refund the two people working said they don't give refunds on late night food. I asked to speak with a manager and I was told there was no manager on duty. Then, as I was standing there, another person came up to complain that they had not received their food yet. The employee offered to sell the other customer our food (that he knew we had eaten out of) for $5! The employee gave me the restaurant number and told me to call back during the day. As we were leaving, the other customer who was complaining at the counter sat down with our food and started eating it. Our forks were still in the boxes! The employee sold or gave the customer the food that we had eaten out of!
I called the store today to speak to a manager. I explained what happened and the manager apologized and said he would talk to his staff. I asked him to refund my money. He said that he could not refund my money but that he could offer me a free meal. I asked him if he would eat somewhere that resold food that had been eaten out of and he said no. I said that is exactly how I feel as well and I declined the meal. Once again I asked for a refund and he would not refund my money.
I am not sure what happened to this place. The food use to be very good. That is clearly no longer the case. Not only is the food not good, the restaurant is dirty and unsanitary. I would highly recommend...
Read moreHappened to me last year. My wife and I went here for my birthday. Told the waiter it was my birthday and asked if they had any birthday specials. I think they just give you a free desert but I forget. Anyway about midway through our meal, our server's kid comes in an apparently its his kid's birthday as well. Well that's great and all but he proceeded to spent the next half hour ignoring our table. Tried to wave for him, nothing. I get its your kid's birthday but you're still at work. If you aren't going to cover our table then get a coworker to do it. It was almost another 20 minutes AFTER we finished eating before we managed to get another server to give us our check so we could get the hell out of there. So basically the better part of an hour we had no service of any kind. I'm sorry but if I have to get up and go track you down, you're providing crappy service. Left zero tip and that was being generous. I didn't even want to talk to the manager because I was so pissed I didn't want to be yelling at some poor person who didn't do me any wrong. You're at work, make sure someone is covering your tables. Or better yet, take the day off an spend the day with your kid on his birthday. Don't screw up someone else's birthday. We haven't been back since and probably...
Read moreI recently tried Wasabi Sushi & Asian Grill in Fargo, and I absolutely loved it! The place itself is super inviting with a nice, contemporary feel. I went for the Red Dragon and Rainbow rolls, and both were stellar. The Red Dragon roll was the perfect mix of spicy and savory, and it had this amazing freshness that you can only get from top-quality sushi. The Rainbow roll was a colorful delight, loaded with a variety of fresh fish that melted in my mouth, all wrapped around perfectly seasoned rice.
The service was fantastic friendly and attentive. They really made the meal enjoyable, ensuring everything was just right. If you find yourself in Fargo and have a sushi craving, Wasabi is the place to go. I can’t wait to go back and explore more...
