Red Pepper — Restaurant in Fargo

First off, my apologies for not getting any pictures. I was too excited to dig in! Maybe I'll go back within the next couple of months, throw them another $10 bill, and get tons of food (because it's so inexpensive), just so I can get some pics for you

My review:

Parking?- Yeah it's in a strip mall type building. You won't have a problem parking

Atmosphere- Cool and hip. 'Twas refreshing to see. Much better than boring, stale seating areas like other places have

Staff- 2 young females who were nice and putting in an honest day's work. Felt like it was a good starter job for them. I thought they both did well

Okay now for the food, I tried 4 items:

Beef hard shell taco- Great! The taco shell was hugging all the ingredients. That was awesome. I want more.

Beef tostada- The best! I'd come back just for this. The entire surface area of the tostada was covered with toppings just the way it should be!

Beef enchilada- Weird experience with this one. It looked unappetizing, but tasted VERY delicious. I'll get this again...just next time eat it with my eyes closed :)

Taco burger- No thanks. 80% bun, 15% ingredients, and only 5% taco meat. AKA: ratios were all off. Has potential though. If you up the meat amount then I'll be a fan of this item

Actual rating would be 4.5/5 however Google doesn't let me do that so I rounded up.

PS: I am addicted to the salsa they sell in the local...

I get red pepper take out fairly often. Usually very friendly staff so much that it is noticeable. Today I stood 1st in line for 10min without being acknowledged while they made a to go order. Awkward, but not a huge deal. So I made my order and she repeated it. She checked while making my tacos and, yes I did want white sauce on them. Then she had my grinder put together and I checked about the extra red i asked for and she said she could put it on the side. I said whatever is easier since the sandwich was assembled already. When ringing in my order, now I had to pay for the cup of red? Since you opened in fargo, and all the years I ate in GF I have never paid for extra on the sandwich. When I asked if I was being charged for the red, the other girl working, not who was helping me, sneered and said "ha good one nice try." Confused and honestly insulted by her accusation I was aiming at a free cup of sauce I just declined it, paid and left. This was a very disappointing experience! I work with food also, and like to tip fellow industry folk well but that didn't...

Horrible customer service. They were busy(but not super busy) they kept taking orders from customers that arrived after us. After the 3rd time I asked if someone could take our order. The girl instead of saying sorry, stated she had been busy serving others (yes, people that arrived after us) we finally placed our order. I received something other than what I ordered, but whatever. I ate it and we left. I also overheard the girl tell the other worker to ignore the phone that was ringing as it was probably doordash and she didn't want to confirm the order. This is a shame. I was introducing a friend to this restaurant. I usually love their food. This was such a poor representation of Red Pepper. It will be a long time...
