At Sonic this day I was craving cherry limeade and my partner as well. The line was just a little slow. But, what rubbed me off the wrong way is; I was behind the person who is at the drive thru window. All of a sudden this employee comes out from the employee door (it's in the photos). She asked for payment and we were confused. There's like maybe two cars behind me. One for certain. She hands us our two cherry limeades, and tells us to "Wait Right Here". Odd. The moment she walked back into the restaurant; the car at the window had been served and taken off. Now I'm not from the area and I stayed put per employee request. After sometime I finally broke because the person behind me I can see in my rearview mirror is upset. Probably because I have not moved. That was what she said and I thought she would be there quickly. Now seeing the person who is visibly mad; I pulled forward. Now it's a guy at the window and wanted payment for the drinks and asked if we received them yet. I pointed to the center console and said "Yep right here; but the employee came out the side door, gave them to us and snagged the credit card for payment." He looks lost: think if you have a quiz and you're not sure of the answer and confused. I reiterate that we had given the card to the employee. She said to wait and we did. I didn't know that I should have pulled forward. I listened to her and completely complied with her odd statement. He's not smiling, he's not understanding how she gave us the drinks and got our card. We want our card and receipt. I explained how confused we were. He didn't even care about anything I had to say. I'm usually a trusting person; however the drive thru employee called her over. Things between them were said that we could not hear. Red flags are going through fast. Did she copy the card? Do we have to watch our bank account? I suffer from severe anxiety. Both of those employees had me on edge. Lack of professional communication and just plain rude to me. If the owner sees this and I hope he does. They both have some explanation for how that went down. Trying to get the drive thru times down by sending people out to collect payment and not pay the employee at the window like it normally goes? Or what happened? I'm clearly upset. Sonic that's the last time we...
Read moreOrdering guidelines were not clear. At this location, you could not order at the counter at this time. You can only order on the app, in drive thru, or in a bell hop stall. This was not clear until you entered the restaurant. The check in process was not clear. The app said to select the stall number when you arrive, or see an associate inside when you arrive to check in. We were not in a stall, and there were no associates customer facing to check in with. Everyone stayed in the kitchen until an order needed to be brought out or garbages needed to be changed. The poster in the restaurant said to select the table number on the patio to check in on the app. There were no numbers on any tables outside where we were sitting (most tables outside were dirty with dried ice cream spots, etc.). There were tables inside with numbers, but there was no indication on whether or not you can eat inside. I guessed on stall 1, and waited inside by table 1. The associate came out and went to our table outside (we had two kids meals, and we were the only table out there with kids). I asked her if what I did was correct, and she said it was. I asked her if that could be made clearer, and she walked away with no comment. It took at least three tries to place the order on the app. My wife ordered chicken strips, and it said it was not available at this location. This notification was not available until we tried to place the order. This happened twice. When I tried to place the order again on the same phone, it said an error occured, and I had to checkout yet again, and the order was finally placed without having to change anything on the order. As to cleanliness, the tables were mostly dirty as I stated, and two associates came to change the outside garbages. They emptied the one next to us, but no liner was placed in it for...
Read moreWhere do I begin. My fiancé and I pulled into this location and quickly realized there was a long line so I recommended we pull into a spot with a screen. We pushed the button and eventually because we waited for so long the screen timed out. We sat for atleast 20 minutes. My fiancé went inside and they told them that they have to order through the mobile app and that the didn’t do counter service. WHY IS THERE NO SIGNS TO TELL PEOPLE TO ORDER IN THE APP? It says to push the button for assistance and nothing else. So we finally placed our order in the app and waited for another 15 minutes. Mind you this was for popcorn chicken and a small fry. It had said our order on the screen and it suddenly disappeared. We went into the app and our order wasn’t even visible to see it it had been completed yet. So my fiancé went back inside, a second time. They, and another customer walked in at the same time because they were also having issues. There was no one to be found to the point where they had to push on the employee only doors to get someone’s attention. She told him her order number and he proceeded to try and give her the completely wrong order number. This service was just honestly pathetic. 35 minutes for popcorn chicken? Being busy sucks, being paid probably minimum wage sucks but overall, either pay your workers better to support more intelligent staff, who at the bare minimum can support even half way decent customer service, or train your workers better. We will never return to this location, and I will urge people to not return here...
