Wife & I took one of our nephews here, and did the Dead by Dawn room. It was a nicely thematic room with great puzzles. But, a few were a bit obtuse for us, or asking for some complex memorization or art skills to solve. However, we had a good time.
Our nephew is the type that gets super-excited, and the more excited he gets the lower his attention span goes. So, he was all over the place finding things, putting things down randomly, etc.
Part of what makes a good escape room is having a good clue master. And our clue master did a great job of "reading the room" and chiming in with some random advice here and there, often pointing us to an object we had previously found, but he had misplaced some where. (Which meant she was keeping track of the action like a hawk).
She was able to do this, because they give you a walkie-talkie which is really a portable intercom she can speak to you on. He had it clipped to his shorts, and that let her chime in .... and you'd think that'd break the immersion, but it actually ADDED to the immersion... because it felt like we were campers stuck out in the wilderness with a friendly park ranger trying to help us get out. It was really cool and creative, and the clue master that oversaw our game was amazing!
The only reason I'm dinging 1 star off is because there were a few annoyances with the room.
First, there were some red herrings that you later realize you wasted time chasing thinking they were clues. You're looking through stuff and some objects were very prominent making you think you had to count them for a code or something. But, they were just set decoration.. but someone went above and beyond generating this specific set decoration stuff to the point it seemed like a purposeful clue. So, we wasted time on it.
The other annoyance was a final puzzle that you had to reset if you screwed up, and it would waste time resetting it. This was the most complicated puzzle in the game, so having to waste time resetting it each time started to feel unfair.
We didn't win, but we did have fun. And, I would definitely come back to try other rooms...

Me and my fiancé are super enthusiast about escape rooms, and have done anywhere from 40-50 escape rooms with just us two! So, when we first wanted to start doing escape rooms, Ultimate Escape game was actually our very first one and the one who had us IN LOVE. Lindsey and her husband have also done many escape rooms and are amazing at creating puzzles that really make you think out of the box! My Fiancé and I had completed all of their escape rooms before the fire, and we came back to see what they cooked up for us this time!
We did Death by Dawn and Fallout. Fallout is a HUGE room, and would be a great idea for a very large party. What I noticed off the bat is that they started using more mechanics in their rooms VS multiple types of locks like before. I was a little skeptical at first hoping it would not take away from the same experience but with the great minds of the owners and the cool mechanics combined, they have ROCKED IT!! They story line for Fallout was so clever, made you think, and we had done puzzles we had not seen before in any other escape rooms in the area, which is sooo refreshing!
The second room we did was Death by Dawn. This is a smaller room, easy for two [experienced] people to complete, but very engaging and exciting (AND CREEPY!!) enough for a full room. The last puzzle was a doozy for us, but with only two people, I think it was much harder than we were making it out to be (LOL).
All in all, this is again, the top of our list with our all time favorite escape places. We WILL be back to complete the others as soon as we can, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store! Thank you to the owners who were resilient to come back after the devastating fire and flood, and come up with more ULTIMATE...
Read moreI've completed 2 scenarios here. For those unfamiliar with escape rooms, you and a group of people are in a room completing puzzles associated with your given scenario. You are given one hour to solve all the puzzles. If you succeed, you win, if you do not, you lose. Either way, it's still a lot of fun. The people who run the games are very pleasant and helpful. They clearly want to make sure your experience is a great one. It is easy to see great effort goes into each scenario to make sure it is captivating, challenging, and rewarding as you progress through. Luckily, they do not use combination locks at this escape room as they can be finicky and time consuming to open, even if you know the code. I also really love the signature walls lining the waiting area. The only area of opportunity they may have are the ends of the scenarios. Both rooms seemed to be a bit anticlimactic and some of the participants seemed a bit let down. That being said, the journey is absolutely worth it and I would gladly try out...
