We had dined at this restaurant before and were generally satisfied with the food, though the service was not particularly impressive. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was extremely disappointing. Today, I called to make a reservation for a party of seven and was met with confusion — possibly due to a language barrier. The person who answered the phone couldn’t clearly explain their policy for groups larger than six and said her daughter would call me back to clarify. That call never came. I followed up several hours later and asked to speak with Ani. Ani was very rude, stating that I should never ask for her again because she is the owner. She then informed me that for any party larger than six, they charge $100 per person — regardless of what is ordered — and they do not serve alcohol. The $100 charge applies to food only. I expressed surprise at such a high minimum, especially since we had dined there before and were never made aware of this policy. Her response was curt and dismissive, simply stating, “That’s our policy.” Just to be clear, this was not a deposit — it’s a mandatory minimum charge per person for parties over six, even if the actual order doesn’t come close to that amount. I found the tone, attitude, and lack of basic courtesy unacceptable. Needless to say, I will not be returning. Good food is important, but respectful and professional customer service matters just as much — and I believe customers...

Our experience At Anano's was underwhelming from start to finish. We had to wait 20 minutes just for a waiter to take our order, and while they did bring us water, they forgot to provide glasses-- something we had to request separately. We love Georgian cuisine and had high expectations from our first visit to At Anano's. The ambiance was very pleasant but the food itself was just okay and overpriced for its quality. We ordered the open-faced Khachapuri which looked and tasted more like a cheese pizza rather than anything special and our traditional Georgian soups were nothing special, compared to other Georgian restaurants we've been to. To make matters worse, when we checked our bill, we noticed that the meet assortment we ordered was listed as $69.99 on the menu, but we were charged $79.99. When we brought this up to our waitress, she casually mentioned that there had been a price increase and they hadn't updated the physical menu yet-though apparently, the online prices were accurate. However, upon checking their online menu later, we saw that the price was still listed as $69.99. There was no apology, no offer to honor the menu price, and no prior notice about a significant price increase when we placed our order. Overall, this was a mediocre dining experience, with very poor service and misleading pricing. I would NOT recommend this place-spend your...
Read moreHEAR ME OUT! This is not my normal review but i’m in love with this place. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the kindest energy. I’m not sure if the two ladies running the show are the owners, but they radiate pure warmth and care. They give you that comforting, mom vibe that instantly makes you feel at home.
Ok food, right, I ordered the Shkmeruli and the Adjarian Khachapuri, and honestly, saying the food was “delicious” doesn’t even begin to describe it. The bread is fresh, pillowy, and completely addicting, and the chicken dish is out of this world, rich, garlicky, creamy perfection. I couldn’t stop dipping bread in that sauce; it’s the kind of flavor that makes you close your eyes mid bite and just appreciate life for a second. SERIOUSLY!!!
The atmosphere is another highlight, it has a romantic yet relaxed vibe, soft music, and a cozy, clean setting that makes it perfect for either a date night or a peaceful dinner alone. I watched other dishes come out of the kitchen, and every single plate looked and smelled incredible.
It’s rare to find a place that nails hospitality, flavor, and atmosphere all at once, but At Anano’s absolutely does. I can’t wait to go back and try more, this is truly a gem in Farmington Hills.
Note to self, dumplings are only served on Tuesdays...
