SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour launches in earnest for 2025. I know, a late start, dude. Like an orgasm or a meal, better late than never. 😆 Tried to get here last year but managed to arrive the one day they were closed. (Note to self: check hrs & days before leaving home, doofus) The beers tend to be lower ABV than others of the style but, on a 90+ day in June, this is great. Started with a one-off, a mango version of the Berliner Weisse (3.5%). Tasty but the mango was faint. Moved on to the Guava Pale Ale (5.8%). Very good. The beertenders are super nice and there when you need them. The music was great, both in style & volume, allowing conversations to be held at normal volumes. There are about 6 tables outside for the clement weather imbibing in addition to the typical bar seating and other indoor tables. All indoor seating, save one table are high-top tables, a bit of a challenge for the wheelchair crowd. Additionally, the space between tables is tight so navigation is going to difficult as well. There is parking behind (two steps down upon entering) and street parking.

I run a small business nearby, but until today had never been inside. I went in after work to grab a four-pack to enjoy at home. The person who helped me (I’m sorry, I didn’t get your name) was super helpful in offering some suggestions. I ended up choosing the DTF Lager and the Patty’s Last Call Italian Pilsner. They’re both delicious! I will not only be back, and plan to enjoy some draft selections in person, but I will also recommend Farmington Brewing Company to anyone who will listen. Top-notch folks. Top-notch beer. Awesome vibe, too. Keep it up!

When FBC first opened I was super excited being that I am a local and all for supporting small businesses. Over the years it has been extremely hit or miss mostly due to staff... lately, more miss. Beer is mediocre; really the Blood Orange Wheat is the only thing they have going for them. The last time I was in I got mead which I've had quite a few times so I figured it was a safe choice however, what I was served was barely above room temperature and tasted skunky. When I explained the situation and asked if I could replace it I was told by Ryan that they would have to charge me for it. I can understand if I just didn't like it, but never in my life have I been charged to replace something that was literally rotten/bad. I've worked in the food service industry so this was an extra shock. So, I kept my $8 6oz glass of warm, gross mead that I wound up just pouring out later. FBC, please, for Farmington, get it...

Please tell your bartenders and servers to lighten up. My God. There’s a pandemic going on. We get it. But your staff is over the top and out of control with the condescension and paranoiacally dealing with the same problem every other business in your genre is facing. We don’t need them to be telling us paying customers to pull our masks up an extra millimeter and if they’re going to at least be courteous to the fact that their salaries are paid customer patronage. If this is how you want people to remember you when this is all over, please, have at it; and you’ll find that many people that entertain clients...
