IHOP — Restaurant in Farmington

Spoke with the manager louise. And I wish I could put zero stars but unfortunately I have to put at least one. I placed a online order at 1:20 and didn’t realize it was going to be made right away as on my side it didn’t give an option to set a time for it to be made. As I called the store and asked if I could pick my food up at 4 pm they said that was fine. I get a call about 5 minutes later and a lady said my food has been sitting there for 2 hours okay I’m sorry I didn’t realize it was. She told me they couldn’t make it at 4 and then kept going back and fourth with someone who wasn’t on the phone and telling me they didn’t have the burger I ordered and then found out they do make the burger. I wasn’t mad at the point. I got to curbside and called to let them know I was there. The manager named Louise then said you just called to get it at 4 yes but the lady who just called me complained about it so I’m here at curbside to get it. Okay well listen here you need to understand that we threw the food out. Okay that’s fine I just wanted to tell you i was at curbside. He then blew up at me and told me not to come back. This whole situation I didn’t feel listened to but attacked by someone who wanted to be correct in an issue. I was not rude and Louise a personal comment for you would be you never know what someone is going through. It is clear you need to seek some therapy as your ego will not get you as far. You should always listen before speaking. It was honestly scary having to talk to someone who approached a phone in the manner you did. I don’t think I will ever go back and you may think oh that’s okay we’ve got a bunch of customers. Okay that’s fine, but I do hope one day you realize you might be in my shoes and have someone verbally attack you the way you did to me. The food was average, from our last experience the food has really gone downhill. Seems to be cheaper ingredients. The restaurant was fairly clean, but restrooms could’ve used a touch up. We were the only party in attendance so we were sat very quickly, our food was served in moderate time. The server Donovan however made our experience terrible. During ordering, he acted like he knew everything about the restaurant and gave an “are you dumb” attitude towards us when we asked questions about the menu. During serving, he practically slammed plates and cups acting as if he was annoyed with our presence. He was also very intrusive, and frequently interrupted conversation. When we were paying our check, we informed him we had a 10% off coupon we received from a fundraiser booklet from Heights Middle School. He rudely said that it wasn’t valid. Confused we asked if we could speak with a manger or the owner for clarification, but he rudely ignored us and told us that he was in charge. We explained where we got the coupons and our confusion, to which he told us that we needed to quit acting like we knew more than him. We quickly paid our bill and left, displeased with the rudeness we were faced with paying our check. We usually love ihop for a quick and easy dinner or breakfast, but this experience left us feeling as if our business isn’t appreciated. Went to eat with my wife and mother today around 8:30-9p. The window states it’s open until 11p and they were already closing up. When we came in and asked if they were still open they just stared at us then finally asked how much people. After we got seated we were basically rushed to order. While waiting I noticed the bus boy and our waitress dry humping each other in the reflection of the window. After they noticed me their attitudes changed and we were treated like we were at fault for noticing such actions taking place. Which is a disgrace! Keep the love connection at home regardless of business closing 4 hours before the stated time is dumb. This place should hire people who want to work instead of people who just milk the clock.
