Went into red lobster for my parents 51st wedding anniversary. Have to be honest originally everything was good. We were having a good time and then we were given the bill. The bill we were given came to $96 and change. I put $110.00 in the black bill fold and handed it to the server so she got an almost $15.00 tip. Took my parents out to the vehicle and was getting them loaded up, dad in his wheelchair, when I guess it was the manager, he never introduced himself, came running out with the $110 and a ticket in his hand saying that we still owed $25.82 on our bill and we were trying to leave without paying the full ticket. I told him that is not the ticket we were given, the one we were given came to $96 and change. I have never ran out on a bill and never would I even think of doing that so to be treated in such a way was disgusting. I went in and paid the remaining balance but I told him that I have no problem paying my bill or for the items we had but the server should make sure she is giving the right bill to the right table, that was not my fault, that was on her. How dare you set people up like that, make them feel terrible like that. I paid the ticket I was given. What a terrible way to end an anniversary meal and the manager never even apologized for the mix up. I can understand if she accidentally gave us the wrong ticket but just own up to that and apologize for the mix up but instead all he said was I don't know about that all I know is this is your total and this is what you paid. A simple apology would have gone a long way instead of treating me and my family like criminals. She screwed up, own it. If you are the manager and you came out to confront me then apologize for the mix up and ask if we can just make it right and get the correct bill paid instead of accusing us of running out on our bill. So the bill total came out to be $135.82, needless to say she did not get as large of tip as what she originally was gonna get because she nor the manager wanted to own up to what actually happened, take accountability and apologize for it and then come to a resolution. It was rude and completely unprofessional. I wish we had never chosen that place for my parents anniversary meal and trust me, we will NEVER go back. Be honest and real and own up to your mistakes that your employees do. It's not my job to make sure she gives me the right ticket. It's not my job to ensure the cook makes the right food, it's not my job to clean the tables. This is part of the employees jobs to ensure order accuracy, cleanliness and making sure they give the right ticket to the right table. By the manager trying to make like we were scumbags instead of saying I am so sorry she must have given you the wrong ticket I can see how this could have been confusing, would you mind coming back inside and we can get the right ticket for you? That would have been the right, courteous and professional way to handle it. They obviously need a server that can keep track of the right ticket for the right table and need a better manager that knows how to handle situations like this better to not make the customer feel as if they did something wrong. Good bye Red Lobster and good ridden. You...
Read moreHusband and I haven’t been back to this location since the pandemic and probably won’t be back for a while. We once dined here during the pandemic and it was awful! Especially for the price we paid. Sadly we would’ve got a better plate at Long John silvers. Today we decided to try again and it was disappointing once again. The food was absolutely great! It was our server, the time we waited and the margarita I had tasted like a melted down popsicle. First we ordered our drinks and our server checked our IDs and at one point took my husbands ID to the manager to verify his ID was good. We have never been treated like that ever. At that point I was ready to walk out because it took a while for the server to come back. Once she did she brought my margarita but not my husbands drink. We had to ask her if they were even going to serve him or not. Mind you all he ordered was a draft beer. He didn’t get his drink until after we finished our salads. Now the drink I ordered was the grand patron margarita and they were out of the patron which is understandable. I was and am ok with getting the lesser tequila. The drink came with the shooter on the side. The shooter was filled less than a quarter of the shot glass. And when the bill came they still charged me for the grand patron. And to make matters worst the drink without the shooter tasted like a melted popsicle. I was very much disappointed with this experience and will probably not be back for a very long...
Read moreSo I have to say the reason I scored them so low wasn't the taste of the food but it was the service. I frequently travel for work and when I do it's usually alone. I stopped here for dinner and was seated rather quickly. Once I was seated it took the waitress about 20min to come and ask me if I had been helped. I promptly responded I had not. One figures of the menu is open the person may not be ready to order because they ate still looking through it so I had closed my menu as a sign I was ready but was over looked, most likely due to being a party of one. So the waitress finally took my order and it took awhile for her to even bring my salad. I was getting discouraged and upset. I would have understood had the restaurant been packed but it wasn't. The time was about 4:30pm and there were only about 3 tables with people around me and the rest were empty. When I finally received my meal it took another while before I saw my waitress again so when I did I asked for a to go box so I wouldn't have to sit there waiting for the next time she came around. I really like Red Lobster but as I stated before the service here was not good. EDIT: I was contacted by management and I received a full refund. Thank you for your concern and prompt response. It is appreciated. Just for the gesture and concern I have increased my rating and I will give this restaurant another go when I am in town again in hopes service...
