MASA used to be great when they first opened. We'd been here a lot, but not lately (not since the ownership change) and boy were we disappointed in the changes. We spent $98 last night to feed our family of 7 and threw away over half of the food. The food either had zero flavor at all or was so salty that it burnt your tongue when you tried to eat it.

They completely forgot our two orders of mexican rice, so we can't comment on those. Before we start, the pork tacos and quesadillas used to be a hot item here for our family - super flavorful... not today.

Steak nachos - queso was good, the steak was like beef jerky (way overcooked)

Pork quesadilla - made it's way to the garbage. Meat too salty to eat. The only flavor was salt and spicy.

Soy al pastor tacos - couldn't tell you because even though we ordered them, they said they didn't have soy (not sure if this was just that day or at all anymore) but these became pork tacos because we thought that was a safe option for our family...

Pork tacos - filled with meat, hardly any toppings. Meat again too salty to eat. All four of these got tossed after a couple bites of one.

Bean tacos - again, too much salt. The beans looked completely dried out and old. Went to the trash.

Mushroom taco - this was "new"-ish here so we decided to try it. It was literally just sliced burnt mushrooms in a soft taco shell. No seasoning at all.

Chips and salsa - these were the only thing not super changed.

Cheese quesadillas - no complaints from the kids... so they must have been at least alright.

All that to say... we completely wasted our money coming here and won't be back. Wish they were still owned by the Azar brothers because the food used to be SO much better. It has definitely gone down hill since the...

I have tried Masa twice now and have had bad experiences both times. The first time, I decided to try them when they had a BOGO burrito deal. I got 2 California burritos with beans and added white onions and salsa verde. The beans were SO salty and awful tasting that I couldn't even take more than a couple bites. The onions and salsa were nowhere in sight (paid extra for them), and I literally ended up just trying to eat the tortilla of one because I was hungry and had spent money on it. I went again today (Cinco de Mayo) and figured it would be busy, so I did an online order for just a to-go frozen margarita. I got there and there was a long line with no separate line for online orders. So I waited in this line just to get told that all the frozen margarita machines weren't ready. I replaced my margarita with a MASA lemonada - which was cheaper, but no refund of the difference was offered - and proceeded to wait almost 30 minutes for my drink to get made. After watching one round of drinks get made, and another drink order was taken, I finally asked where mine was. Eventually I got it, but from getting there to receiving the drink it was almost 45 minutes. Even more unfortunate, I got home and the drink was absolutely disgusting. 0/10 do not recommend and I will not be giving...

It works likes it's own plate, and the cheese they have is delicious! ๐ŸŒฎ Ceviche: It may have been an off day, but the fish did not taste fresh, unfortunately. ๐ŸŒฎ Mexican Steet Corn: My only other complaint is the taste of the mexican street corn. The food lacked flavor and was most definitely not fresh. I had the guacamole and ceviche and Iโ€™m not sure they deserved to be called either. My friends had tacos which they said didnโ€™t taste as bad as the ceviche and guacamole. I had to ask for lemon and salt to add a little flavor to the food. The nacho chips were cold and felt stale. Very disappointed. If youโ€™re looking for something authentic, this is not it. I will say, the employees were super nice however. Pictured below are the tacos and corn. Didnโ€™t get a picture of the rest of the food unfortunately.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the prices are great, the food was prepared quickly and the food was amazing. The brisket tostada was perfect (and came with a taco as well) and the steak tacos were delish (and it was Tuesday so only $2!) My mango margarita had a surprise kick(premade frozen drinks are usually pretty weak) and was a great addition. I ended up grabbing dinner for the family to let them try it out and the Guac was honestly the best I've ever had. I only go to Farmington once a month but now I can make it a little adventure ๐Ÿ˜
