I wish I could give zero stars.. I have given this place quite a few tries. Definitely more than I should have. The first time I went here, was before the pandemic & it was great! I went back after the pandemic started, and it was still tasty!. It was around the beginning of the fall, when I started to notice things go down hill. I had come up with all sorts of possibilities for why the bad experience- "A different chef in the kitchen?" "Someone was tired?" "I DID come right before closing once." "POSSIBLY some of the ingredients, I choose are canned, and not fresh." So I made adjustments to not get them the next time, and they messed up my order so badly to which I thought was kind of insane the way they gave me the pizza- looking the way it did. Obviously after that i was like noooooo. 3 months pass by, and I decided to give them ONE more try because of stated above reasons. I personally placed the phone calI and even calculated what might have been "off" about the pizza and ordered accordingly (taking out which ingredients might have been canned) 64 dollars later annnnd I couldn't even get halfway through 1 slice. It seems to me from taste- that they could be preparing dough days in advance or possibly maybe even a week. (I understand places do this, that's fine.. the problem is the upcharges by Naples for supposed "Artisan pizzas and fresh ingredients) THEN they char the heck out of it to bring it back to an edible state. Probably to mask the old taste.. I was very disappointed, dissatisfied and angry at the waste of food product and my money. I also have to mention for food preparation safety concerns that I have not been well since; I ate HALF a SLICE of pizza -THAT HAD NO MEAT PRODUCTS JUST MOZERELLA and veggies. That was the ABSOLUTE last time I order from them. I strongly advise the health board to do an inspection. DON'T...
Read moreThis was our first time trying Naples Pizza, even though we’ve lived here for almost 6 years. It’s always so busy and we’ve never quite had the chance to wait for a table. We ordered the Naples Special pizza to go, and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly crunchy on the bottom without being overcooked, the sauce struck the perfect balance - just the right amount of sweetness. They were generous with the toppings, though I would’ve liked a bit more cheese. But then again, is there really such a thing as too much cheese on a pizza? It was a little pricey but absolutely worth it for the quality.
We arrived just before closing to pick up our order, and there were a handful of high schoolers working the counter. They were incredibly polite, going above and beyond to make the experience pleasant. One even held the door open for me, without having to ask, as I juggled a large pizza box and 3 fountain sodas - such a thoughtful touch!
The only downside is that they don’t list their prices on the website. But honestly, if we had known the cost upfront, we might have hesitated to order and would have missed out on some really great pizza. So, I’m guessing that’s part of their marketing strategy - and it’s kind of genius!
Overall, a...
Read moreI must have been there on an off night.
The service was meh at best. After serving the food to our table of 8, the waiter never came back to see if we wanted anything (eg drinks, napkins, etc).
We ordered (among other things) two large pizzas. They advertise that the pizzas are 18 inches. The pizza trays were 18 inches, but the pizzas were much smaller. They were undercooked, and looked and tasted more like frozen pizza you'd get from any local supermarket. The slices were cut as though they couldn't care less if they got it right. I know some places make a niche out of off-style slicing, but this was not that, this was just sloppy.
The portions of the appetizers and salads were very small compared with what you'd get at other local pizza places. $9 moz wedges were like two small squares cut into 4 tiny wedges.
We ate in the enclosed heated outdoor area, which was the highlight of the evening. If the food and service was above sub-standard (which it wasnt) I'd definitely go back.
But based on this experience, I'm not sure that I would rush back and I would absolutely not recommend this place over the local...
