The Roost — Restaurant in Farmington

When we arrived we walked to our table that had people waiting for us. They stopped my husband who explained what we were doing (it was 6 pm). The waitress rushed us to order and eat, after we ate we went to the pool table and we tried to order another round of drink (it was almost 9 they said they were open until 10) they said they were calling last call so no rum buckets could be ordered but 16 oz drinks could. I got a drink brought it the bar and finished it there while talking to the bartender with my husband and friend. I turn and help my friend zip her coat. The waitress comes to my friend loudly complaining that she didn’t tip enough. My friend gave her an extra $10 and we locked arms and walked out my sober husband was behind us. We get to the car and the waitress comes out asking if we stole a cup. We say no we didn’t you can look in the car if you’d like, my husband goes back in and comes back out. He tells us they’re threatening to CALL THE COPS OVER A CUP WE DIDNT EVEN TAKE! We go back in and I explain I left it at the bar I didn’t steal a drink we had paid for the drink I drank it and left. The bar tender then says “I’m not calling you a liar but we have cameras right there so we will be looking at those” I told him to go ahead I didn’t steal the cup. They are always very rude, it’s dingy, and they threaten their customers with law enforcement over something that...

Walked in on a Wednesday night alone at 8pm place wasn’t even crowded and the “door guy” says “we have a big wait” I was like “just to have a beer?” and he’s like “yeah”. My first trip to Maine absolutely pathetic. I own a legendary pub in North Carolina and I’m sure glad we treat people right and are not a bunch of uptight doosh bag lightweights.

Thanks for the response bro maybe train your staff on how to talk to people. I’m from out of state which I would think many of your patrons are. It would have been nice to know the reason I was basically shunned out the door was do to government capacity regulations and not because they didn’t want me which was the vibe I got. There was no one waiting anywhere that I could see and also plenty of room at the bar for one person to have a beer. I had no clue and was not informed of that whatsoever. That's why you got a $15 dollar tip on your $196 bill. We waited 45 minutes till you waited on us and gave us our first drink.

Our appetizers were almost a 45 min wait as well, followed rite by our food.

As soon as we had our food you were trying to rush us as if we were in your way, very unprofessional.

I personally had ordered my meal, it was 15 minutes later than the rest of the table. I realized rite away not only was my food later than everyone else but it was not even exactly as I ordered it. I wanted curly fries with cheese and bacon, not straight fries, but I was going to be polite and eat it with out complaining.
