If I could give negative 5 I would do so. First of all I looked up the time they closed online before driving to the restaurant and online it says 11 pm on Friday. We got there at 10:03 and were the last car accepted because they were closed. The sign on the window says 10:30 all week long. Three different closing times listed is a major issue for starters, and trust me I'm just getting started. Another discrepancy from what is listed online compared to the menu at the location is the prices of the blizzards. We ordered 3 small ones and the price was a $1.50 difference per blizzard more expensive than I originally saw online. Therefore I ended up having to use two different cards to pay. I handed the lady the first one and asked her to put $10 on that one and she even verified it before actually processing it. Then she hands me the card back and says it took the whole amount, is that ok? Uh NO, if it was ok I wouldn't have asked to only run a certain amount. She then went to get the manager and after 5 minutes with the window closed and no communication whatsoever she opens the window and hands me the difference in cash because he couldn't fix it and once again asked if this was ok. OMG already, if it was OK I wouldn't have been using two different cards in the first place. Now, I have to make a special trip to the bank to put a measley few dollars in my account to make sure there is enough to pay bills coming out. The manager never spoke to me at all regarding the screw up and I never got an apology. Then she hands us our blizzards and doesn't bother to tell us which one is what flavor or hold them upside down like they are supposed to and I will tell you why in my next issue. When we got home just a few minutes later we realized why they were put in a cup holder and not held upside down. They were sitting on the counter the entire time they were trying to fix their mistake and melting. So they put them inside of another cup and stuck lids on them then shoved them in a carrier so we wouldn't see that they were melted and running down the sides of the cups. As a single mom I don't get the opportunity to take my children out very often and this was a birthday surprise for my daughter. Thanks for ruining that guys. I will not be returning to dairy queen...
Read moreI went to DQ in Farragut this evening. Haven't been in several years to this particular DQ, due to last visit, also having an unfortunate experience. My 2 yr old son and I decided to stop and get some ice cream, as his older sister was at an event near by. The line was long, so I figured their service must have gotten better. I ordered a blizzard and my son a cup of chocolate ice cream. We parked in a nearby parking lot. As I neared the end of my blizzard, I noticed that the ice cream at the bottom looked a bit odd. As I scooped it up, it seemed to all string together in one clump. With further inspection, I found that it was, indeed, a purchase receipt. It was not my purchase receipt, as mine was crumpled up in the cupholder of my vehicle, but another patrons receipt IN THE BOTTOM OF MY ICE CREAM. I immediately felt disgusted. I drove back to DQ, sat in the line of cars, waited my turn, informed the employee through the microphone of what has occurred, they attempted to offer another blizzard, I declined, they offered a refund, I accepted. I then proceeded to drive up to the window, eager to show them what they've given me to ingest. But I'm met with, "here is your $5.65, have a good night", without even the slightest inkling of examining the damage done. I sat confused at the amount of money handed to me, as my total purchase equaled $8.50. I wasn't about to make a fuss over $2.85, as I am just not that type of person. Honestly, I'm not one to leave a review. I can count on one hand, the amount of times I've actually done so. But this time, really bothered me. I'm not upset with the company itself, nor the employees working there. I write this, mostly, in hopes that it may assist the staff in paying closer attention and being more aware of what they are serving to their patrons. If I had not been paying as close attention, that receipt could have been in my next bite, stuck in my throat and choking me, with no one else but my 2 yr old son in the vehicle. As stated previously, I was hesitant to even give them another chance, due to past experiences, but this will most definitely be my final visit to this...
Read moreOkay so about maybe 1-2 weeks til my birthday, I went with my mother to diary queen to pick out a cake. I chose a rectangular with orange and black flowers/embellishments. It was scheduled to be picked up on my birthday.
So my b-day rolls around and everything is in order except for the cake. So I drove to retrieve my ice cream cake.
So I go up to the counter and ask for my cake under my moms name. They tell me that they don’t have any order, cake, or call for that registered. They asked if I was Steve like 5 times.
After sitting in this tiny diary queen for over an hour, a woman finally comes up to me. She tells me that they called my mom about “20 times” because they didn’t have the right piping bags for the cake. I call my mom, she picks up, and I ask about it. She had gotten NO CALLS FROM THIS GD FREAKIN DIARY QUEEN.
So being totally done with this, and literally thinking about just stealing steve’s cake, I ask for a refund or just any cake. They picked out a cake (didn’t give me any refund still charged me) and me being my petty self wanted my FREAKING NAME ON MY BIRTHDAY CAKE.
So, I ask for “Happy birthday Savannah”
THIS WOMAN AND HER CROWS NEST OF A HAIR DO WRITES ON THE GOD DAMN CAKE “HAPPY BIRTDAY SAVANIA.” AND I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE TIL I WAS HALFWAY HOME. DID THIS DOUGHNUT OF A PERSON EVEN GO TO SCHOOL? EVER? I’m seriously concerned I’m starting a go fund me for her right now. #HelpTheBirtdayWoman
Steve, if your out there with your turkey cake, I’m sorry for almost...
