To whom it may concern,
This morning, Thursday of February 15/2018, I went to the Tropical smoothie cafe at ACC - Northridge campus and I had an awful customer service. I am writing this hoping it will reach someone and consider it because it is a serious matter. It's not about the drink, but her attitude and inability of polite communication was a huge issue. Here's what happened she asked me, "do you want your drink(antioxidant) to be peanut butter or strawberry. I responded, "strawberry." She nodded her head and went about the transaction to charge me. After I waited for a few minutes, she put the order out on the table and called out loud. I went to check it but didn't look like strawberry to me. I thought she still hasn't finished mine yet. So, I asked to confirm is this order mine she said yes. I told her it's not strawberry though, she got defensive and argued that I had initially told her peanut butter. I refused to accept that and politely told her no there is a mix-up and that I had clearly stated I wanted a strawberry drink. She was arguing against that. I asked her to remake/replace it for me with the correct one but she continued to argue against it and refused to remake it. Her behavior was very unprofessional in how she looked away and completely refused and ignored me as a customer. She also never gave me a receipt. It is so unacceptable and unfair of the clerk at the register to treat customers like that.

Read moreWhat time does this place close!!?? I have a pm class from 6 to 10. We get a break around 7. I tried twice going to the cafe to get some dinner because (above) it's suppose to be open till 9. The gate was down both times. My next attempt I tried to come early (5:45) and the gate was down. My last attempt I came even earlier and still closed!
On a side note. I got some breakfast back in June. The cashier was on her phone the whole time. When I was placing my order she gave me a menu and signaled to point at what I wanted. She ended up missing my meal and only got my drink so I had to be rerung up for that. Another customer was waiting behind me probably a good 15min and left soon after from the wait. When I did get my food she was still on the phone. The time for me wasn't an issue at all but making food and being on your phone is a huge health code violation. I don't know where that phone been, maybe in the bathroom or dropped on the floor. Then whatever could be on that phone can now be transmitted to my food!

Read moreI really love tropical smoothy cafe but it’s probably in best interests you don’t for dash it or order online. Go in person to watch and make sure they’re putting in and taking off what you’ve requested. I ordered an açaí bowl on door dash and requested no coconut (I am allergic) and no honey and no blue berries (swapped for banana) and yet they still put coconut and blue berries and honey on my bowl while the label said to not add these things. I was really disappointed because it’s my favorite place to eat and açaí bowls aren’t cheap. I’m grateful doordash did their part and at least refunded the item. I’m only posting this so others can be aware that ordering out is not the best option. I did have an experience a couple weeks ago where they still added honey and I over looked it by adding peanut butter and Nutella to mask the honey. They also gave me the wrong chips multiple times for my orders but that’s not my biggest concern. Thank you for reading this.
