This place is like Crab Sea in RTP. I’ll sum it up: delicious! Except here, meal presentation is a bit different. They bring out your combo of seafood (which comes with corn and potatoes), which is loaded with cajun, garlic sauce, in a disposable bag. The bag itself is blown-up with air resembling a big bubble. Furthermore, they provide you with disposable gloves and a bib (because it’s likely the sauce will splash). With that said, I don’t recommend you wear something white. The waitresses here are attentive and go the extra mile to assure one’s stay was pleasant. For example, I requested a to-go container. Not only did my waitress return with a secondary bag (for my already bagged meal) and a small container (for my husband’s meal), but she took the time to neatly bag and box it all up for us, walking away with our dirty dishes. This doesn’t occur at every restaurant. Anyway, the interior is nicely adorned with sea-inspired figures and ornaments- a kayak and boat rings even. The restaurant is also clean, spacious and has great environment suitable for large groups or a one-on-one chat at the bar. Regularly, my friends gather here for drinks and a scrumptious meal! 😊

WHEN I TELL YOU that the moment I walked in and smelled the intoxicating aroma of seafood and butter and this lovely young woman told me 25 minutes, I was ECSTATIC. Ma'am, you can tell me whatever at this point. And I'm sorry if this insensitive, but we sat there waiting in our car for our table, and we realized that we were among the very new white people going into this establishment. The high rating made more sense. We figured if this many black people trusted this place to make their seafood amazing?? Then hell, I trust it too. Practically tripping over myself to get inside. I got the C seafood boil and by George, if you haven't found Jesus yet, I'm pretty sure he's at the bottom of that boil bay somewhere. The waitress, the decorations, the food, everything was a ten out of ten and definitely worth the money.

The restaurant is nice decor and ample parking. Seems to be a new building/place. Disappointed that our server left 6 beer bottles, oyster tray, cracker wrappers, etc without bussing them the entire time we were there. He also would stop by to check on us, but before we could answer, he already turned to walk away. Disappointed in the service. Also, kinda surprised they did not have Saltines or horseradish for the raw oysters, as that is the norm when eating oysters. When we came for our date, the restaurant was 90% empty, but we got seated adjacent to 2 tables with screaming kids. :( However, enjoyed the crab boil, but they don't include sausage and I literally had 2 small red potatoes in my bag. But, the shrimp, crab, lobster in extra cajun seasoning were outstanding!

I ordered a fried shrimp basket, fried calamari, a lobster meat poboy with extra sauce, spicy mango habanero wings, and a seafood boil bag with half pound of shrimp, half pound of snow crab, 1/2 pound of sausage, and 2 boiled eggs on separate occasions just to get a feel for the different menu items. First let me say the menu and the prices are deceiving, but in a good way. The SHRIMP BASKET 🍤 on the menu says 8 pieces for the dinner basket, but the shrimp are HUGE! I couldn’t even finish them all and I’m a pretty big eater. And I got a box (not a paper cup holder container) of fries. A great value for 11$. The FRIED CALAMARI 🦑 was similar. I don’t know what they season their fried food with (but there’s no MSG I asked) but it SLAPS! The calamari is delicious, period. A perfect for when I’m really hungry but don’t want anything heavy. I’m not a fan of sub sandwiches. But putting actual seafood on them was genius. I like the LOBSTER MEAT POBOY 🦞 and the extra house sauce is 11/10. I went with a friend to get the wings, and while I don’t really like spicy food, but the SPICY MANGO HABANERO WINGS 🍗 had my friend and I hooked tho. It’s on the secret menu because you have to asked for them by name, but they are the same price as the food the wings on the menu. Lastly, the BOIL BAG 🦀. Omg, for like 32$ I got crab legs shrimp corn potatoes sausage and eggs. I only got a half a pound of the shrimp crab and sausage but I could not finish all my food. Like there was much more than I thought there would be so I definitely got my money’s worth. The du jour sauce mild was the one I got and I really really liked it. Definitely my go to seafood boil. Overall I really liked the food I tried and now order whenever I feel like a nice seafood treat or some...

I have yet to eat inside so I can’t speak to the service or experience eating there, but here’s the thing. I am NOT a seafood person, and when I do eat it, its usually sushi (not a place like this), but their fried fish basket is A M A Z I N G. This is THE PLACE to get fried fish if you’re in Fayetteville.

The fish was perfectly, lightly breaded, and the breading was seasoned PERFECTLY. I’m black so I promise you I don’t say that lightly. Most places in Fayetteville you will not get well seasoned food but this fish is great. (Of course I don’t eat a lot of seafood as stated so idk how perfect or not the fish fillet itself was but I was impressed! And I’m a foodie).

And then THE FRIES... I started out only getting their sweet potato fries (I tend to prefer them over regular fries) and they are great (and waffle style like Chick Fil A). Then one of the workers recommended I try the Cajun fries and WOW now I get those every time! I don’t know if they’re double fried or what but they have a crispy layer of golden fried perfection that’s deliciously seasoned. Fries comes with the fried fish basket so i can’t recommend it enough!

Also note that I’m not a big French fry fan either. So like this entire fish n chip meal is not something I eat usually — because I usually don’t like how they turn out — but this was the fish n chips of my dreams. The way you WANT it to taste when you imagine it done right.

I also have tried the fried shrimp basket. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Didn’t inspire me to review like the fried fish basket, shes OP lol. The hush puppies and side of sausage also pretty good! That’s all I’ve had from there so far! The food is a little overpriced in my opinion so I went with 4 stars, but I would give a...

My husband decided to take me on a “date night” and we decided to come to Crab Du Jour because of the very high reviews on the site. When arriving we were very pleased that we were able to walk in and there was no wait to be seated. Once the host sat us at the table (A10) we waited 23 minutes no exaggeration for anyone to come and greet us. When the host brought another family to their table we were then able to ask her who our server was. The host looked and said I’m sorry I’ll go get her. The server then came to the table and took our order. We then waited another 27 minutes before we saw her again. During the wait I was able to wave down another server (Shaniya) whom I asked if she could go and get the manager for me. The manager came to the table with absolutely no care in the world....very nonchalant. I explained to her that I wanted to tell her directly before I left a review about my service. She stated “I’m sorry about this. The host forgot to tell your server that she gained a new table and this is the reason for your extensive wait. I’ll take 10% off your bill” she then walked away. It pisses me off that all she could see was a young black couple trying to get a “discount”. It’s very obvious when someone has a stereotype on people. It reflects in their work. The server Shaniya that helped me with obtaining the manager literally never missed a beat with her tables. My husband and I truly admired her work ethic and tipped her just because. Crab Du Jour will never have to worry about us coming again even if they offered free plates! It would be a cold day in hell before I stepped foot through their...
