⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Dining Experience at Herman's Ribhouse A True Fayetteville Gem with Incredible Steaks and Exceptional Hospitality
Herman's Ribhouse has become my absolute favorite dining destination in Fayetteville, and it's not just because of the food. However, that's spectacular; it's the entire experience created by owners Carrie and Nick, along with their amazing team.
The Steaks - Cooked to Perfection
The steaks at Herman's are simply outstanding. Whether you order the ribeye, filet, or New York strip, each cut is prepared with expert precision. The steaks arrive perfectly seasoned and cooked exactly to your specifications - tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The quality of the meat is exceptional, and you can tell they source only the finest cuts. Each bite is a testament to their commitment to excellence.
The Philly Cheesesteak - A Standout Favorite
I have to give special praise to their Philly cheesesteak - it's absolutely phenomenal. The steak is perfectly seasoned and grilled, the cheese is melted to perfection, and it's served on a fresh, soft roll that holds everything together beautifully. The portions are generous, and the flavors are authentic. It's become my go-to order because it's consistently delicious every single time.
The Amazing Staff - Service Excellence
What truly sets Herman's apart is their incredible staff. Every team member I've encountered has been friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring about your dining experience. They know the menu inside and out, offer thoughtful recommendations, and always go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. The service is prompt without being rushed, and they strike the perfect balance of being available when you need them while giving you space to enjoy your meal.
Carrie and Nick - Exceptional Owners
The heart and soul of Herman's comes from owners Carrie and Nick, who have created something truly special. Their warmth and hospitality shine through in every aspect of the restaurant. You can often find them greeting guests personally, and their genuine care for both their customers and staff is evident. They've built not just a restaurant, but a community gathering place where everyone feels welcome and valued.
The Complete Experience
The atmosphere at Herman's is warm and inviting, perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a special dinner out. The restaurant is always clean and well-maintained, and there's a comfortable, relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy the experience.
Why Herman's is Special
In a town with many dining options, Herman's stands out because of the personal touch that Carrie and Nick bring to every aspect of the operation. Combined with their talented kitchen staff and exceptional front-of-house team, they've created a dining experience that feels both professional and personal.
Final Verdict
Herman's Ribhouse offers outstanding food, particularly their perfectly prepared steaks and incredible Philly cheesesteak, but what makes it truly exceptional is the people. Carrie, Nick, and their entire team have created a place where great food meets genuine hospitality. This is a restaurant that makes Fayetteville proud, and I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Read moreI have eaten at Herman's my whole life. When my mom and dad first started out in Fayetteville, they had little money as my mom was still in school and my dad was just starting out his practice in Fayetteville while sleeping on the couch of good family friends' (now my Godparents) house. My parents joke about how my dad spent all of the money they had for rent after my godfather brought him to Herman's for the first time. He fell in love with the food, but most importantly the history and community Herman's had to offer. When my mom was finally able to see what my dad had been talking about, she walked into an older building without any clue that she and my dad would make lifelong friendships with the staff and even their family. Since then, there have been many management and ownership changes as Herman's has been a Fayetteville tradition for generations. The current owners, Nick and Carrie Wright are amazing people. We love their compassion and genuine love for the community. Nick and Carrie are giving people and do thinks behind the scenes without seeking recognition or promoting their sales. Whether they are opening up their home to provide meals for the Arkansas razorbacks sports teams, having local artists sell local hand made craft items, or in my case, catering special events in my life such as graduation, prom, and even birthday parties, the Wrights' bend over backwards to lend a helping hand make sure everyone is taken care of and has a full and happy belly. Herman's is more than just a delicious restaurant. I could go on and on about how great their food is, (and I keep two jars of their bbq sauce as well as their steak seasoning on hand at all times) but more importantly, the service is extremely impeccable and although I've spent many celebrations at the Herman's restaurant such as my dads 50th surprise party, my parents wedding anniversaries, providing food for a late night ER trip (lol), and multiple birthday celebrations, Herman's has the community that makes me proud to be from Fayetteville. I am in college at the university of Arkansas now and I still visit Herman's every chance I get. Nick and Carrie have become our family (we have even gone on vacation with them). They always remember special events in our lives, take care of us, and are only a call away if we need a "pick me up" meal. When I think of Fayetteville, I think of Herman's. When you walk in the front door, it feels like you are surrounded by family and with a great meal on the table, how could you ask for...
Read moreMy husband and I came to town yesterday for the Hogs game. We generally eat at Herman’s after every game. Last night, we should’ve picked a different place to eat. I’ve never been so disgusted with a restaurant. We walked in to be greeted by a man who was making a “waiting list” which is pretty par for the course at Herman’s. He was taking names and writing them on a notepad like this: Daniel 2. Indicating how many were in our party. We asked him how long the wait would be. He replied, “40 minutes to an hour.” That’s a large gap of time but whatever. We took a seat in the outside bar and had a few drinks. Nearly 2 HOURS later and after the room had emptied TWICE, my husband went to the (cranky) man who was controlling he waiting list. By looking at the list, they had skipped over our name several times because we are a party of two and all they have are 4 top tables. So, in short, they were giving guests (that arrived after us) our table because they had more people in their party. My husband finally told the man that we’d been here waiting for two hours and it really wasn’t ok for them to skip over us AGAIN. They seated us. It was so late by that time, I wanted to order something quickly and leave since we still had a 2.5 hour drive home. The waitress asked how we were doing so we told her...then the owner came out and gave us all the excuses why we’d had such a terrible experience so far. She said the woman who usually runs the waiting list had called in so they were just doing the best they can. My husband explained to her that a note pad and paper is a ridiculous way to keep track of a waiting list. See, my husband works for a food distributor and explained options for waiting list managers that would solve their problem entirely. Had Herman’s been using a waiting list manager, anyone could step in and take the girls place who couldn’t work last night. When we got our food, it wasn’t up to par either. The owner explained that she had several people call in last night. I’m just done with this place. She picked up our bill which was a nice gesture but we barely ate any of our food anyway so I expected her to do so. We will never be back. There are WAY too many other options for eating in Fayetteville to deal with...
