Hello, I’m a former McDonald’s employee and longtime customer, and I’m writing to express my deep frustration with the current state of drive-thru operations. One of the foundational standards we were trained on—and took pride in—was never pulling a customer away from the drive-thru window until their order was in hand. That wasn’t just about efficiency; it was about respect, consistency, and accountability. It showed customers we valued their time and trust.
What I’ve experienced lately is the complete opposite. I’ve watched employees routinely ask customers to pull forward for no clear reason, even when the drive-thru isn’t backed up. It’s obvious this is being done to manipulate service time metrics instead of actually improving customer experience. As someone who once held that headset and worked under pressure, I know what good service looks like. This isn’t it.
This approach feels disorganized and dishonest. It confuses customers, increases wait times, and lowers overall trust in the brand. McDonald’s used to be about speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction—not just numbers on a screen. I truly hope someone at corporate will take this seriously and reevaluate how drive-thru performance is being measured and enforced. Because right now, it feels like you’re putting your brand reputation at risk just to shave a few seconds...
Read moreThis is one of the rudest managers I have ever seen and this is not the first time this has happened. I ordered an iced coffee which is my favorite from McDonald's it was terrible I asked for drizzle and extra liquid sugar I tasted it was terrible as if she didn't put any sugar in it at all. I asked her if I can have some more sugar of course she was rude didn't want to give it to me. I hear her tell her coworker that she wasn't putting all that in no coffee.. then I asked her for some creamer she claimed that she didn't have any.. even when I was in there this guy was waiting on his food at a table she tells him she had already called his number but he told her that he order food to eatin. she then tell him that she didn't have any trays. He was there way before I was waiting for his food. He then had to get up and go get his food instead of her cleaning a tray for him to eat in... this girl is just darn rude.. you guys need to send her for some customer service and professionalism training.. I don't know how she made manager they must have been short managers...
Read moreThis is one of the worst McDonald's! Very unprofessional! While waiting for my food, a young lady came in to apply for a job. Since no one was able to speak with her, the staff told to come back. After she left, one of the staff members behind the counter thought it was ok make fun of the lady's appearance. Myself and other patrons were in disbelieve that the staff was being so nasty and cruel to someone they didn't even know (I hope the young lady seeks a job elsewhere). McDonalds should be a fun place to relax with your family or friends without negative vibes. I was already concerned about ordering food because the environment was not clean and they seemed upset with management (as we heard of that business as well). They were loud and rude. I couldn't understand why they felt the need to publicly humiliate another human being. PLEASE work harder to hire friendly staff who actually care about good service and the people within the community. With all that being said, MY ORDER was incorrect but I couldn't bring myself to go back...
