Bojangles — Restaurant in Fayetteville

The Raeford road location near the Montclair post office has a horrible odor coming from the restrooms. all of their plumbing may be affected. After many complaints nothing has been done. The inside smells like sewer gases. Horrible. And the heat is always making it hot inside. Not warm but very hot. Complaints made. They say they can’t do anything about it. Makes me question the safety of their food.

Follow-up: It has been 4 months since my review. I took my mom out to Bojangles again on Raeford Road the later part of June. I’m sorry to report that the restaurant still has a very strong and nauseous odor of sewer gases.

Months ago I reported this issue to the Fayetteville inspections department. But the nauseous odor still persists months later. I believe Bojangles has a current sanitation rating of 90 from the inspection department. I have not been contacted by the inspection department.

Parking is scarce. And we see a lot of customers bringing orders back that are incorrect.

There is usually loitering near the entrances. And there seems to be a lot of homeless people with backpacks coming in and out. I don’t think we would come here after dark to eat.

I visited this location on 15 April 2021 around 4:00pm. I caught a very bad vibe from the little girl on the speaker. As I pulled up, there was no greeting AT ALL. When she DID finally come through the speaker, she said, “Order whenever you’re ready.” It gave me a strong McDonald’s vibe. She did the same thing to the next few cars, which I could hear. I got to the window, the other little girl just opened the window and didn’t say anything. When she was handing me my things, I told her in a joking way that they have to at least sound and act happy at work. I understand, because I worked at that SAME Bojangles (and the location with Diana), from 2012-2015. As I was finishing, she closed the window in the middle of me trying to tell her that I understand. If that’s the expectation from Bojangles now, I’d rather not be part of it. I did speak with Bryan[Brian], and he was very apologetic, but it’s more to it. I’m not saying they should be fired, but I went through the SAME training, and I also participated in the shift manager program on Owen Drive .. I know for a FACT that behavior is not the image Bojangles...

We ordered 2 breakfast combos (1 sauasage/egg combo and 1 egg and cheese biscuit combo) with drinks. We asked the lady to repeat our order before we pulled up to the first window because there was some confusion. She repeated it correctly. Once we got to the window she repeated our order again correctly before we paid. She ended up ringing us up for 2 separate orders which we didnt ask for but it was fine. They handed us a bag with two biscuits, one side, and one drink. We told her that isn't what we ordered and asked for our receipt. She said it was in the bag. We took everything out of the bag and there was no receipt. Mind you, she was holding at least 3 receipts in her hand. Instead of looking for our receipt she just raised her voice, rolled her eyes and closed the window to talk to her manager. Instead of the manager coming over to see what the issue was, they were trying to charge us again. We will just go to another location from now on. I only gave two stars because the part of our order we did receive...
