I went there yesterday. I have a disability and it's hard for me to cognitively understand people. Sometimes you just have to slow down and explain things step by step. I was unsure of what was actually prepared in the bowl...by the time it was wrung up and I paid for it, then, I asked for clarification on what I paid for and then I told them that that's not what I wanted. There was a language barrier with the cashier. She called the manager. The manager came over and immediately explain to me what was given to me told me that they prepared exactly what I asked for and said that they were not going to change or fix it in any way. I repeated that I was not aware and the cashier definitely did not explain anything. She was not even listening to my experience/interaction with the cashier. I saw i might need proof of my interaction with her, though. Then when I took out my phone to record her she refused to talk anymore and said not to record her. Although we are all being recorded in the store. Its a shame we feel like we have to cover ourselves so people dont lie on us and get passive aggressive unnecessarily. The corporate number is not working so I'm going to have to write a letter. I also checked they are not part of the BBB. Go figure! She was very rude and she had no intention of resolving the issue. What she heard was I was giving her cashier a difficult time when I was actually trying to ask for clarification because I was not understanding how they were breaking down this bill to me. And I even asked her to speak slowly so that I can better understand her and she still treated me as if I was trying to get over or get more for what I paid for or something. Everybody's not always trying to get over. Some people just don't understand need Clarity and then maybe want to fix the order to get exactly what they want. She even told me everything was on the menu and I should have looked at the menu to better understand what was given to me. I doubt she would say that to an elderly/obvious cognitively challenged customer. Shame on you and you know exactly who you are! Other than that, I loved eating there. But that is now past tense. The food is good. And the staff is usually great, awesome, warm, inviting, I don't know what was going on with this lady yesterday but I've never been treated like that before at this restaurant. I really hope she never treats anyone else like she treated me and that's all I can say...
Read moreI heard so many good things about the place and decided to go eat a late lunch (3:40 pm) with my boyfriend. When we entered, there was nobody in the restaurant. We could not figure out how or where to order due to lack of signage. There is no menu and no prices. I was ready to walk out, but decided to order a salad, since it seemed that was the only thing available. I wish the employee on the other side of the glass would have explained the concept of the restaurant when I told her that it was my first time there, that I was confused, and I did not know how or what to order. Instead, she gave me a dumb look and just stood there. We ended up ordering 2 salads with chicken kabob, a little of roasted corn and a few cherry tomatoes; we ordered a tap water and a Coke as drinks. I was taken aback when the bill was over $28. I paid and proceeded to look for a table. Unfortunately, ALL tables were dirty. I turned around to ask the employee to clean at least one of them so we could eat, but she had disappeared. We took some napkins and cleared a little area on the high top table. The food was good, but when you charge $13 for an average salad I expect a clean restaurant, with fresh ingredients, prices listed somewhere, and an inviting environment. I took pictures of the dirty table where we sat, the wilted and yellowed arugula, and the $13 salad.
UPDATE: the owner, as you can see, responded asking to produce a receipt to take care of it for me. Unfortunately, I was not given a receipt. I was not even asked if I wanted it or not. I would like to go back, so clean the place, put prices in plain sight, add signage, and train your employees, not pay for my meal. That means you don't want...
Read moreFood is usually delicious here and fresh.. this is a fact and was true today as well... My main issue with our meal today was how I was treated (gaslit)...their reaction... And that they couldn't care if anyone else got a fragment. In a place where you mix lots of small toppings in a bowl this could really hurt you.
although in the past the dumpster has smelled up by the door and we have seen active water bug roaches inside. We gave them a shot today after taking a break from them .. the food was delicious until I bit down into my kebab chicken and almost lost a filling. There was a hard thick thumbnail sized bone.. looks to be a chicken thigh bone. Well they use real meat so it hurt really bad but I was not completely shocked. I went inside to show them and mention it. That perhaps they should check that small chicken batch to be sure no other bone pieces got in. I had to ask for someone and the guy said there's no way there's bone in the chicken. And I said well there was and held out my hand with it. He repeated no the chicken can't have any bone in it ????? He then said If you have a problem go leave a review. So I find myself here after we finally gave them another chance. I am frustrated because my molar hurts they don't care AT ALL and I wasted the money on my bowl, since I was simply afraid of eating more and running into another bone piece. 🤷🏻♀️ It's not like a chicken leg where you can avoid the bone... That stuff is all mixed together and small stuff ( And it is 100% for sure a bone. It's like a side piece of a femur or something where it curves and used to...
