First let me say that I have been a very loyal Popeyes Chicken Customer for years, therefore I was really disappointed with my visit this evening. I placed a order for 4 meals and the young girl taking my order went over it, asked my name (it was to go) and I paid, then she took 5 fairly lg orders after mine. I waited and waited and waited, and then I started getting aggravated bc those orders placed AFTER mine were being handed to the customers and they left.. I finally said how much longer, she said we are waiting for Spicy tenders, I said no not my order, she said your name is..... I said no, it's Anna, she looked at register screen with a worried look, I told her exactly what each order consisteded of, and that ALL those people were AFTER my order was placed yet they got theirs and I was still waiting. A gentleman was leaving and he looked at me (he was the 3rd order AFTER mine.) and said.. You are STILL waiting??? Did they cook you a Turkey or what?? I said umm no, but I'm getting pretty upset! She found my order, stated it had been cleared.. But she put it back on, and it would be approx 10 more minutes bc they were waiting on tenders. My dtr and I needed a drink by this time, so she did give us a free small soda each, but it had been a 35 minute wait at this point. After another 7-8 minutes, food was boxed up and brought to me... I decided to check entire order, and yep you guessed it, one of the orders was wrong!! Again I explained what each order was (and I had the receipt too) so they fixed the wrong order and she did apologize for all the issues and the LONG wait time.... Another 5 1/2 minutes and it would have been AN HOUR! So I just thanked her for correcting the messed up order and we carried it all out and left! *I'm not one to usually think the manager should be notified, but in this circumstance, I think the manager on duty should have stepped up and said, I'm sorry for the inconvienence and excessive wait time, let us make it right with you (and then offered to give a partial refund, or offered for our next visit (order) to be on the house. But the mgr on duty didn't. So at the time of giving this review, I'm tired, hungry and disappointed! No matter what kind of work you do, Always, Always, Always remember to check and recheck and maybe check again on the information you submitted to make sure it's correct (verify with the Customer bc they will RESPECT YOU for being through to eliminate the possibility of mistakes) and the timeframe of that person's arrival (or others leaving) it's better to admit there was an error, and take responsibility for it, Apologize and correct it immediately, as opposed to making excuses or blaming someone else. We are all human, we all mess up and make mistakes, that's how we learn bc we are not perfect.... But then do what's right and offer to MAKE THINGS RIGHT FOR/WITH THE PERSON! TREAT each Person THE WAY YOU WOULD HOPE THEY WOULD TREAT YOU!! I hope the managers will actually read this entire review and then give a inservice to ALL EMPLOYEES about how to handle these situations that are stressful to all involved and then extend an Offer for Refund or Next visit the order is Free. Thank You for letting me vent and give my opinion... #HopingIcanmakeadifference And let me say this: I deal with delicate, complicated and awkward situations everyday along with hard work and extremely long days bc being a Nurse isn't an easy job...
Read moreI normally don't like chain restaurants.
That said, I don't know if it is all Popeyes chicken restaurants, or just this one, but these guys are really good.
Somehow they managed to have a small restaurant feel in a fast-food setting. It helps that they bring your food out to your table if at all possible.
They also are amazing about getting the main part of your order out RIGHT AWAY, and then if there is any side item that takes a little longer to cook, they run that out to you in a couple minutes when it is ready.
That means you get everything at its hottest and freshest, which is important with a menu that contains a lot of fried, grilled, or deep fried foods.
The crew is always really cheerful laughing and joking with customers and each other, but being really efficient at the same time.
I haven't found anything bad on the menu. All their spicy items are just the right amount of spicy where it doesn't overwhelm all the other flavors.
I haven't found anything tasting stale, overdone, under done, nothing like that. All the fried items are always really crispy and hot. I have gone to some local diner & soul food restaurants that didn't have food as good as theirs.
If you look at my reviews I'm sure you will see that I consistently rate local businesses higher than chain businesses unless there are some really good reasons not to.
So it's really impressive for a fast food place to get such a good...
Read moreWe usually like Popeyes, but the previous time we were at this location, we were standing in line for 15 minutes with a line, and no one in front of the line was moving. Today, May 9th at 1:58 we gave the location another try thinking after a month the place was better trained. Was very disappointed. Only one other table was occupied inside where we were eating. Every table was dirty, under the tables were dirty, and the glass windows/doors were also dirty. It took our order 18 minutes during a slow time to receive our food. We were waiting on fries, but honestly we didn't even get told that our order may take a little longer. Even a free dessert offer in a longer wait might of made a difference. Just 10 minutes after we ordered, the front counter clerk took her break with all the place left dirty. The replacement front order checker was playing with their cell phone when we were leaving. This location on Martin Luther King Blvd.in Fayetteville has not well trained managers or trained employees. Hope that things change to the better, or whomever owns this franchise will go out of business, sadly. My husband has worked in the fast food industry as an employee and a manager when younger and for years in retail stores, so we know what should be expected to maintain a business to run smoothly.
Signed, Two disappointed...
