Taste: OOOC I had the Los Cabos, it’s just your standard taco (Chicken, rice, beans and cheese). Pretty tasty, if not boring. I also had the Santorini (Chicken, veggies, and feta) which is my favorite so far. It was unbelievably fresh, and was just top notch all the way around. The Queso dip was very good, (I got the Cajun) which is to be expected if you’re going to name your place after it. The chips were fresh, and appeared to be made in house. All in all fresh, and tasty.
Portions: OOC These tacos are average in size, but come in at almost 4 bucks a pop. All the sides are served in very small containers. The “average” meal here would leave me looking for more.
Price: OO For two people this place ran us $30 before tip! That’s just silly considering what you’re getting. The portions are not equivalent to the price.
Service: OOOO The guy we dealt with was nice, and helped walked us through the menu. Everyone we came in contact with was nice, and knowledgeable. Our order was out pretty quick, and everything was very neatly packaged, and put together. The crew here is doing an awesome job.
Cleanliness: OOOOO The building is brand new, the inside looks new and shiny. Everything has its place, and the food prep area looked spotless from what I could see. This place was spick and span!
Big Fat Foodie Score: OOO This place gets three stars, rounding up. Ultimately the price, and the portions are the big downer here. This kind of establishment isn’t someplace I would expect to drop $30 for two people, and barley have enough to get full. The tacos are delicious, and the service is on point, but you better have some cash if you’re...
Read moreI hate to leave such a negative review for a local business, but this restaurant is terrible. Please be sure to read the other one or two star reviews before deciding to dine here. I literally got trapped in the drive thru. It took nearly 15 minutes for the car in front of me to even get to order at the intercom. How is that possible? And then there were a couple of cars that came in the drive thru behind me. After another five minutes had passed, I couldn't even leave the drive through after not wanting to wait in there any longer - it had been up to 20 minutes at this point. I understand that things have changed, there are online orders, plus orders from people that are dining in, but this place seems desperately understaffed and consistently unorganized. It made me realize that the drive through is a bit of a safety hazard as well. Once you are in line and there are cars in front of you or behind you, there is NO space that allows you to leave unless a car moves forward or a car behind you backs out. I vented my frustration to a worker, and it sounded like she wanted to cry after someone finally answered my phone call. I don't know what's going on with this company, but the quality and overall experience here is terrible. Slow service, overpriced food, and the customer service is non-existent. Please go to the other options located around Fayetteville. I have tried most of them, and this location is by far the worst, for so many different reasons. Maybe the owner or owners just don't care, or don't want to pay their staff a fair wage, so then their staff in turn do the...
Read moreUpdate: 4/25/2024. I badly wanted to update my review with a better rating today after my first time back since last year. Unfortunately I can’t. Even though my online order was ready promptly and with the right ingredients, I found a fly fried to the outside of my quesadilla. Needless to say I am done with this location.
If you have an online ordering system, you should make sure it’s working effectively. I ordered my food with an order pick up time of 12:30. I arrived at 12:37 and waited another 13 minutes for my food. The point of online ordering is for convenience. The order should’ve been ready when I got there, but they waited until I got there to make it. The printer isn’t working is not a good excuse. Get it together people.
We had a similar but worse experience last time. We ordered online. I have to eat gluten free. They didn’t even make the order because they were out of Gf tortillas. Instead of calling to let us know, they waited until we got there and asked if I wanted a bowl. I said fine. They didn’t have lids for their drinks. Their ice machine wasn’t working. We waited another 20 minutes. Again, we ordered online for convenience so we could get our kids home for nap. Instead we had to wait another 20 minutes. We got our food. I looked at the bowl…it has no cheese and had only a spoonful of refried beans. I gave up. I went home, pulled out the chicken and beans and made my own quesadilla at home. This location needs to get it together. I’ve never had issues with the Dickson Street location. After this, I think I’m done with the MLK location. The service...
