Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Fayetteville

This is something that I hear people talk about whenever we talk about slims chicken. It's kind of funny how people that were born and raised in Fayetteville have to explain to people slims used to be so much better! Of course they don't believe us because all they have to go off of is the corporate version of slims.

So over the years your prices have gone up, which is something that's completely understandable and expected. However with the prices going up your portions have gone down, if I had to guess I'd say by 33%. Of course the only way to keep that from happening is having your plates done by weight vs a number of tenders. Each of your tenders feels about half the size they use to be before you went corporate/ global, which is fine in itself. But with the sizes going down you should have switched to a weight or doubled the amount of tenders. It's like you went from using the a 4oz tender to a 2oz tender raised the price per strip and called it a day.

This is really just an observation that's been eating at this location since you opened your doors in 2003. So what gives for using such small tenders?! They aren't what got you here.

Bring back the old slims that put the quality and quantity over...

Went to the location on 2120 N College. I don’t see how this location stays in business. It’s always something. Ordered a chicks meal and a classic meal at the drive through, was only given the classic. Checked the bag, wrong sauces. Told him I had two meals on my order and he looked at me like I was crazy. Finally got the other meal and he stated it was the classic meal (which I already had) so I told him that was wrong, checked the bag and again, wrong sauces. He acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about when I had to ask for the correct sauces which were all detailed out on my receipt. Went to eat my meal as I left and the toast is hard as a rock and crumbly, maybe a 1/2 scoop of luke-warm mac and cheese, and two out of four tenders are chewy. I’ve come to expect this cluster of an experience from this location. I, as well as countless coworkers, have had issue after issue with this place. Wrong food, bad food, wrong sauces, missing meals…recently I ordered a Slim’s Salad and there wasn’t even chicken on it! Most of us go to the Joyce St location instead now. I should have known better and done...

Just went to the Slims on College Ave and was told they can't take cash!!! I ordered the food and wasn't told a thing about it until I pull around then I was informed the "system" is down and they can write my card number down and charge it later. Take my card number down? No thanks. What if I didn't have a card? Oh, I had cash and tried to pay and was told they can't open the register. You don't have a key to count it down at the end of the night????? Then the guy says "well, we can cancel your order if you want.." well, what other option do I have at this point? This is not nearly the first time I've had a bad experience at this Slims, but rest assured it will be the last, as I will not be coming back. I love Slims and go to the different locations in Fayetteville all the time and this is the only location I ever have problems with. Incredibly slow service, wrong orders, sassy staff. I'm done with this location and will tell all my fellow Slims lovers to stay far and clear on this place. Weddington and Joyce locations are...
