I came on a sunday for the buffet. I found a hair in my food so I put the plate to the side and made a new plate. I didn't want to make a big deal out of the issue because others were eating around me and I didn't want to spoil their appetite. When I received the check the manager was charging me extra for the plate that had not been eaten. I explained that it was not eaten because a hair was found in the food. Her attitude was disgusting and she called me a liar. She said none of the ladies that cook in the kitchen have long black hair. My hair is red so it clearly was not my hair. She charged me extra for it anyway. She also charged my friend extra money for each plate "he did not finish" claiming that the plates looked untouched. He only had only one chicken wing and a little bit of rice left on the plates. She also tried to belittle us saying that if we cant afford $3 extra for each plate then she feels sorry for us. It was never about the money. It was about the fact that she was charging me for a plate that I didn't eat. According to her since I never "showed her the hair" I was lying. Then to charge my friend for extra for plates that he clearly had eaten off of is beyond insane. Long story short the meals were paid for plus all the added fees. We will never eat here again. Very rude manager & sorry customer service. I'm assuming that the reason she was so mad about people "wasting food" is because she has her staff reheat the food so they can feed it to people the next day. The food was not fresh and tasted like it was leftover. Just a horrible experience all together. Read moreThis was my first visit here and I found the restaurant staff to be very kind and engaging.
My dining experience was a very pleasant one, but there were a couple of issues with the dish I chose (Pud See Eew w/chicken, Thai Hot) that I need to mention:
(1) It wasn't Thai Hot like I'd ordered (at all) and when I mentioned it to the wait staff, they brought me the seasonings to spice it up, myself.
OK.
I didn't make a big deal about it at all, but I prefer to have the seasoning cooked with the rest of the meal to be sure the flavor is in every bite. It's probably a personal issue for me, but other Thai spots in the area always make sure it's spicy if I order it that way.
(2) The noodles were way too soft, even for Pud See Eew. This made it really difficult to finish the whole dish and I eventually just ended up fishing out the pieces of chicken and broccoli in the dish (which were very good), instead.
I'll probably visit this location again at some point in the future to order a different dish and see how that goes. If that next experience is better, I'll change my '3' rating to something higher. Maybe today was just an off...

It’s beyond me why this place has gotten such harsh comments from previous reviewers. I just moved to Fayetteville from Richmond City VA where Thai food is EVERYWHERE. I’ve tried every Thai place since moving here, and nothing beats the price per portion, quality, and authenticity of Thai Lanna.
Whereas other restaurants Pud Thai (Pad Thai etc) is inaccurately spiced as requested, lacking fish sauce and the sweet and sour hints, Thai Lanna gives you a massive portion of hot and sweet Pud Thai for a lunch price. Their Chicken Satay and chicken dumplings are amazing and they actually give you 2x more Thai iced tea than other places for the same price.
The staff are kind and the food is great. I’m not exactly sure what the availability of “emergency exits” has to do with quality of food and hospitality...
Anyways, do yourself a favor and get your Thai food here :)
(Also, don’t get me started on my satisfaction with the size and quantity of shrimp this place will give you. They deserve all...
