Randomly, I dropped in during lunch hour and was offered a tour by Lisa. This is exactly what Dickson needs in terms of a sporting lounge.
They offer three virtual sports booths that include golf, baseball, and football with responding screens. Personally, there should be more of these to acquaint college students.
Ahead of the virtual sports area is the duckpin bowling. I like the concept, though the balls were way too light for adults. However, it's still bowling, and that's what matters. The lanes are smooth, and the robotics for the pins respond instantly. Two nice televisions need cages to avoid accidents, and they are really nice tv's!
The bar is huge and corners both the bowling area and the three reservable yet otherwise open lounge areas for groups. Which brings me to Stephanie, who looked ready for a crowd.. She mentioned her mom is a housekeeper at UA's dormitories, so I have no doubt..
I think The Leroy will have an exemplary staff, including Lisa and Stephanie, to provide all-around service. I left with attention on all three lounge areas which are open unless reserved, accommodating two dozen+ and hosted with a private server.
Considering the location and renovation and assets, the prices are spot-on. Selfishly, granted a tour during the lunch, I'm ambiguous if such hours are a bust -- they seem desperate. I would recommend that the hours be open-reservable and not risk boring your...
Read moreI actually went a couple nights ago now but I just can’t get over the terrible service and just flat out how we were treated that night. We had to basically beg to receive a cup of water for the entirety of our time there and our food took forever to come out lol. We were wondering why our waitress would disappear for like 30 mins at a time only to discover it was because she was going to great lengths to provide excellent service for all her other tables, but it wasn’t like we were simply wasting her time as we were ordering food and drinks we just couldn’t get ahold of her or quite frankly anyone all night long. At one point I tried to flag her down and she gave me a finger and was gone for ANOTHER 30 mins!!!!!!!! There were three of us and one of my friends had even gone up to the bar to try and get a cup of water, (because the waitress had only brought 2 over and left without an explanation), and she was met with attitude ????? We were the chillest ever too???? It made eating our food miserable, (when it finally came out), because we didn’t have any water lolololol. By the time we had gotten a refill of water my friends food was cold. I honestly think we would’ve had a great time because the food was good, (when we had water), and the vibes were great and the bowling was fun but the service was just soooooooo bad id never go again and I’d never...
Read moreBeen here a few times. Really neat place and could be really great. Perfect spot to watch a game with a group of friends if you reserve the lounge area. We recently reserved it for a fantasy draft. Food was great.
Unfortunately, every time we’ve been there I’ve left frustrated with service/management. First instance was back in December - we had reserved a table for a birthday. Reservation was accepted and we showed up only to be told the entire place was reserved for a private event.
The second occasion was for our draft this last weekend. We had reserved one of the lounge areas for a group of 9-10. I’m not exaggerating when I say not once did someone come take our orders without someone from our group having to go find someone. We were there for 3+ hours. Toward the end, very few of our empty dishes/drinks had been bussed. We ended up stacking everything on one table closer to the bar area. Eventually it was cleared.
I can’t help but think that the fact they build in a 20% gratuity in a reservation of that size played a part. Who knows. Despite the poor service, we managed to...
