I appreciate many dessert options as different days I have a taste for a different thing. First time trying this place Iām thinking I have to try the peach cobbler flight. So many options we had to purchase two flights in order to try more of what we wanted to taste. They have many other desserts also which is wow. I know Iām not supposed to eat this much sweet but I wanted to try several so I could give you a good review. Maybe Jonesboro & Fayetteville will open more Salad & Healthy Grocery options instead of Food Desert.
We ordered blackberry, blackberry peach, original peach, pecan praline, sweet potato, mango, honey, apple, caramel apple. The clear containers allow you to see your flight four pack, but they can be hard and crunchy to open. Not really a big deal, better packaging is easy to acquire. My cobblers were not labeled so I had to taste, and guess which one was which. Most were easy to guess, a label on each could help and I imagine would slow their process with so many options.
Original- itās fair. A bit sweet, good crust, and a fair filling. Iām thinking it would be āknock my socks off goodā but I wasnāt bothered as I had seven more to try. Drinks glass of water.
Blackberry-I feel I tasted fresh blackberries, and this one was more tart. Fair tasting.
Blackberry Peach- maybe I liked a little better than straight blackberry.
Mango-A cool difference. Not bad
Sweet Potato-The potatoes were too chunky and tasted somewhat just like a chunky sweet potato pie in a cup. This is a cool addition for someone wanting sweet potato pie, but Iād prefer a slice.
Honey Apple- gave me applesauce taste, which was nostalgic. Itās good.
Praline- too sweet
Caramel Apple- too sweet
Apple Butter Cinnamon Roll- is tasty but mane itās too sweet
PB&J cookie-Diabetes waiting to happen. So much icing and topping on a soft peanut butter cookie l. I wanted to taste more cookie and the white icing could be omitted.
They also have shakes, puddings, brownies, cinnamon rolls, churro sticks, Belgian waffles and drinks. My people, please work out, drink water, see Dentist twice a year and exercise. Eat desserts sparingly. I am talking to myself first.
I canāt really point to one as a clear favorite cobbler and stand out for this to be the Factory. Itās definitely a sweet health issue factory. I really donāt want to sound overly critical as I understand doing business in service to the people. We compare southern cooking to our parents and grandparents because we grew up eating this food and know so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis review is for the Fayetteville, GA store. I had a great dinner, and stopped by here on my way home. I wanted peach cobbler!! The electronic menu board as well as the printed menu taped to the counter said peach cobbler was $8. So I ordered it. The young lady told me my amount was $9.63. I asked why, since the cobber was $8. She said tax. I looked at the flip over register and it said peach cobber $9, tax $0.63. I asked why the discrepency. She smartly said take it up with the owner. Now, I know raising a stink with a food service worker is not a good idea, so I took my receipt and waited. Another gentleman was also ordering, and after he paid, he said she overcharged me as well. Ok. So Monday I will be back to speak to the owner. Depending on the outcome, I may not ever go back. NOW, for the cobbler, it was tasty, with flaky crust, but was overly sweet. I didn't care for the ice cream it was served with. Next time I want cobbler, I will probably look elsewhere.
Edited to add: In response to your reply, your counter worker was not busy, and did NOT tell me that it was a different price. In fact she seemed surprised that the price was different. The gentleman who was after me, (still weren't busy) was not told either and he commented to me that he was overcharged too. It seems that even a handwritten sticker over the price on the printed menu or a handwritten sign ON THE DOOR stating the prices have increased would be better than the surprise of the difference in price. I never once said you singled me out, that didn't occur to me, but good business practice is that you don't raise prices on the register before you make changes to the menu prices. Again, it is not the cost of the cobbler, such a specialty item is usually worth the price, it was the fact that it was different than the stated price. Most businesses would have rung it up at the stated price, not say oh, well, talk to the owner. Had I noticed it before I handed her my card, I would not have completed the sale on the principle of the issue. No, I don't want your to refund nor to give me a free dessert, but want to make sure people know that it isn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was so excited to visit Peach cobbler factory in Fayetteville. When I arrived the only associate at the counter turned away instead of greeting me. I was patient and in another 20 seconds she came back chewing food and said hello. This was my first visit and the menu was a little overwhelming. I asked a few questions and she appeared a bit annoyed. I soon figured out it was frustration with the only other team member in the store as he began yelling at her from the kitchen about supplies. My intuition said- āleaveābut I didnāt because my tastebuds were already set! After placing my order with a mouthful of food, she set the expectation of 10mins for my order to be ready.
While waiting another customer came in to place an order and received their package after about 10 minutes. I received no update on my items. All the while there is no music playing, no vibe at all- except continued LOUD bickering in the kitchen. Then, my toddler needed to use the restroom- we walked in to the only restroom to find lots of items being stored. The only communication I get from an employee after waiting what seemed like forever was: Maāam! The bathroom is closed!ā Maybe lock it or place a sign if you donāt intend for customers to use it.
Just when I was ready to ask for a refund and find dessert elsewhere, our order finally came up 21 minutes after ordering.
The cobblers tasted average good. The cheesecake banana pudding was probably my favorite from the dessert flight. But, to patronize this place when my experience shows me no one on the inside cares about this business or my time...
