Came here for a nice evening out with a great friend. I have been reading all the reviews and had to try Tula out. First off, the interior is nice and I appreciate the minimalist approach; however, there are spots where the lighting is a bit off. At the entrance is a bar severely under-used with lighting so bright you could do embryotic research. The dining area lighting if fantastic for dates, but there are some 1 seater areas that have beacon lights directly above your table....creating a frightening downcast. Must be a mood killer for a romantic evening. The decor is simple and not kitchy. You can tell the place is about the most important part: the food.

So the food....just amazing. Everything we had was just so good and not "typical" for any of the other Mexican food we have had in the area. Actually, I haven't Mexican food this good since I visited Mexico City. Just great. We had the Queso Fundido, which we fought over...the tortillas smelled so good and you can taste the masa. Fantastic. She had the Carne Asada, which was good but nothing unusual. I had the Pozole Verde...wow, in love. The spice was perfect and builds over the whole meal. Pork was tender and just tasty. Drinks were A+ and I would visit just for these alone. Shame the bar wasn't as inviting as the dining room.

Our waitress was amazingly courteous and informative. She showed us that the Menus were all QR Code (loved this) as was payment. She knew everything about the dishes. Wished I remembered her name, but she has braces or something like that. Just a great presence!

We will definitely be coming back to Tula. I love that this is in Fayetteville. We deserve more dining options like...

We'd been wanting to try Tula for quite awhile. Last night, we finally went, & were not disappointed. From beginning to end, our experience there was stellar! They took a reservation over the phone, but you can also do that via text. Text communication prompted us to leave the nearby watering hole where we'd been for a couple of hours. Walked over to Tula & it just felt like a special experience the entire time! The hostess seated us, brought us water, gave us our server's name & indicated that she'd be right over. The atmosphere is wonderful; very inviting, warm & friendly. I especially love the mid-century modern design. We soon got our drinks & settled down to look at the menu. My mole rojas poblano sauce enchilidas with red rice was incredible; perfectly cooked & presented and delicious. My husband's pollo tacos al carbon, served with guacomole, grilled onion & pineapple, whole pinto beans cooked in a delicious broth with bacon & homemade corn tortillas were wonderful. We will soon be going back, & I look forward to trying the sopa azteca. The only suggestion I would make to management would be to have a side salad available to go with that. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. Everyone working there clearly like their jobs. It's not often you find a restaurant that feels comfortable, unpretentious & warm, and yet still has a very high bar for the quality, authenticity & presentation of the food. Tula does all...

First time at the restaurant with 2 other friends and was a 1/2 to hour wait. Ordered appetizers, service was a bit slow but nothing to be concerned about. After we ordered our drinks and food, we enjoyed our dinner ( food was good) again, slow service. A gentlemen came by about an hour into our dinner asking how things, were, I was honest and expressed service was slow. He got the waitress and things were expedited. We finally got our checks and checked out ( wasn’t cheap) and was there talking a bit. A guy who appeared to be a manager, asked us how things were and again we were honest and said service was extremely slow. He proceeded to justify they were busy, kitchen is small and they had a group of 35 people. If you have that large of a group, you should have had more help and or closed the restaurant for a private party. On top of all this, the manager asked us to leave as he claimed someone else was waiting for this table. Mind you there was no one waiting and there were plenty of tables open since they were closed to closing. Overall, expensive, slow service and terrible customer service. I’ve never been rushed out of a restaurant. I will...

I came here mainly because of the high reviews TULA has been receiving. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were met quickly by our server who was very polite and professional, he made the dinner much more enjoyable. I started with the Ceviche which came with chips. It had quite a bite to it but was very good with great flavors. I then had the Cochinita Pibil - slow roasted and marinated pork shoulder with beans and habanero sauce The pork and the gravy it was in was once of the best dishes I have ever had at a restaurant. The pork was so tender, the marinade was incredible and it was a sizeable portion. I cannot say enough about this. The beans were fairly bland and the habanero sauce was way more than I could eat. My wife had the Arroz a la Tumbada, a paella style seafood medley and it too was very good and a sizeable portion. I really wanted to try a dessert but I was just to full at this time. I am not a tequila fan, but the drinks were ok. We really enjoyed our dinner here.

I want to note that the design of the establishment is very pleasant, as is the service. The prices are quite reasonable, but there were a few moments that confused me a little. When I ordered a steak, I specified the doneness — medium rare, but it was served well done. After I pointed it out, they offered me churros as an apology, which was a nice gesture. However, later, when I asked if there were any birthday discounts (just out of curiosity, not necessity), the waitress told me that the churros were actually the birthday treat. It was quite an amusing situation, considering they were originally given as an apology. Overall, I recommend this place. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is good, and the food is decent!

FABULOUS from start to finish. Every single person was delightfully friendly, the server was on point, and the FOOD.... probably some of the best mole I've ever had. Even the rice, which sadly is usually an afterthought, was delicious. Carne asada steak perfectly seasoned and grilled, ceviche fresh and bright, queso fundido muy rico! The churros were a hit, as well. The only VERY slight misstep was the tres leches; it was more like a tiramisu-type layer cake confection. No match for Chuy's legendary tres leches. The outdoor patio was cozy but not crowded and just had a relaxing, intimate feel. Perfect dining experience. Will be back. A LOT.
