I deliberated on what to post for some time as I was angry when I left Vetro 1925. Bottom line = arrogant, out of touch chef, rude staff, and ok-at-best cuisine. Read more..... We were hopeful that Vetro 1925 would be excellent based on other reviews, and because the night before we had a truley world-class dining experience in the area. We were disappointed at every interaction. 2 stars for tired food and inexcusibly arrogant and rude Customer care. 1st impressions...entered at the bar. Pedestrian wine by the glass menu...busy but acceptable bar service. Next...table seating and greeting. More abrupt personalities. Granted, we didn't look like much...we'd been walking around town all day, but service should NOT change on how you look. At this point, I start to look around at the dark dining room and noticed lots of dust accumulation on the glass chandelier and lights. According to the menu Antipasto is with "accompaniments". We were served Costco quality meats and cheese cubes with olives and NO "accompaniments". We asked about this oversight and were told that this dish was served correctly. Explanation was patronizing.9l We asked for bread and were told the restaurant has "crostini" they serve with the cheese plate. Google crostini...what you'll be served here is NOT crostini...bread straws maybe. We should have left. Alas, we stayed, hoping we had just made a poor choice ordered simple antipasto. Regrettable choice. We then ordered 2 mains. A bolgonanse dish that was good enough...we ate it all and a train wreck of a pheasant dish. The menu had quail. Restaurant was out of quail and sub'd pheasant. We were excited about this, because we love pheasant...and have even raised them to cook. Mains took a long time. We could see the kitchen looking tense and assumed they were backed up. We had to pour our own wine the whole time we waited as our server was MIA. Pheasant came out slathered in pesto...mid '90s style and a huge whole bird double portion (some prefer this). First bite from the top of the breast...excessively dry. I had to wash the bite down. 2nd bite from the tip...same. Hoping the interior was better, I cut into the breast and found raw...not just pink, but RAW meat. Now, I've eaten great food and terribble at Michelin restaurants and at dives. This was bad. So, I sent the pheasant back...something I rarely do. Server man quipped at me when I declined a replacement dish. Then the final straw. I watched the server take my massacred pheasant to the chef. He inspected the bird. Made an off-hand geature and sent the server back to inform me that, in fact, my pheasant was properly cooked and can be served at 145°. Insulting. Arrogant. Totally out of touch. Extremely poor Customer service. Totally unacceptable. I hope this chef and his staff find a good recipe for humble pie.

We visited for our anniversary and enjoyed a lovely meal . We had a shared appetizer, a bottle of wine, and two thoughtfully prepared entrées. The service at our table was pleasant, and the pricing felt fair for an upscale Italian restaurant. However, our experience was tarnished by an unfortunate encounter. When my husband arrived, the host greeted him not with warmth or professionalism, but with a curt and unwelcoming, “What do you want?” My husband was understandably taken aback. He responded graciously, explaining that he had a reservation and was looking for me, and was then dismissively directed to our table. Out of respect for the occasion and knowing I had already had a difficult day, my husband chose not to say anything to me while we were there. This restaurant offers good food, but no culinary experience should come at the expense of basic courtesy. Hospitality begins at the door, and tone matters particularly in a place that brands itself as fine dining. Good manners cost nothing. I hope this feedback is taken to heart, because while good food may draw guests in, it is respect and warmth that bring them back.

We had heard really good things about this restaurant so went for our daughter's 20th birthday. There was a very nice full bar for alcohol and coffee, which is what you see as soon as you walk in. The staff was very kind and we were greeted quickly and only had to wait a few minutes for our reservation. Kristian was our server and he did a great job and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was patient and answered every question we had. The food was good but not great. Out of 4 pasta dishes, one was cooked perfectly (Penne), one was pretty good (Carbonara), and the other 2 (Bucatini) were overcooked, but not mushy so we did not send back. Full disclosure, we have been blessed to spend some time in Italy and have a fairly high standard. The Tiramisu was very light and had great espresso taste. (as the birthday desert, they comped it!) The Carmel gelato was tasty and the Affogato had to be made with chocolate gelato since they were out of the vanilla bean gelato. We will go back for another shot at some point. Again, the staff was great I can't say enough about Kristian!

My husband & I celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary with a dinner date here. Never having been to the Downtown Fayetteville area, we didn't really know what to expect. If you plan on coming to this area, be prepared to hunt for parking or to walk a little to get to your destination. It's a nice downtown area but not really great if you're trying to get someplace specific - nice to wander around & walk.

When we got to the restaurant, you have to walk thru the bar area, almost halfway into the dining room to find the hostess stand. We made reservations bc we weren't sure how busy they would be. It's a fairly small dining room & can get crowded. Brace yourself to have to practically yell to those sitting across from you if you want to have a conversation - the "cozy intimate" nature of the restaurant means it can get loud & crowded.

Our server was phenomenal - very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu, offered some great recommendations. Majority of things on the menu are made from items sourced from local farms & made in house.

We started with an antipasto appetizer which overflowed with olives, cheeses, house cured meats, in-house made Italian sausage, headcheese, artichoke hearts & more. There was more than enough food for the 2 of us & was amazing.

Next, we had each ordered a salad which is not included with your entree. My husband had the Insalata de Stagione which he said was tasty - the bacon was delicious but when isn't bacon delicious?? I had the Insalata di Rucola - lightly dressed arugula with tasty candied walnuts. Unfortunately, neither salad was earth shattering nor worth the $8 & $10 price tags.

Considering we voluntarily came to an Italian restaurant, neither of us ordered any pasta or traditional Italian dishes. My husband who is always on the hunt for the perfect steak ordered the Bistecca. I was torn between the gnocchi, roasted pork loin chop or pan-seared venison ... I ended up with the venison.

My husband was pleasantly surprised at the size of his NY strip, the simple seasoning yet bold flavors, cooked to the perfect temperature & complement of the balsamic caviar. The smoked potato puree was probably the best mashed potatoes tasted.

My venison chop was HUGE! It was cooked to a beautiful medium rare, perfectly seared & encrusted with again simple seasoning. The peaches on top was another surprising well paired combination. There was more than enough food & ended up taking at least half back with me.

We also ordered dessert - a blueberry lemon panna cotta & a traditional tiramisu. To be honest, just like the salads, nothing extraordinary & not worth the $7/a pop.

Overall, it is a nice restaurant if you don't want to hear the person across from you talking with delicious yet slightly pricey [some overpriced] food &...

Was very excited to have an awesome New Years eve dinner with my girlfriend, it ended up being one of our worst dining experiences in recent memory. I did realize that it was a one night menu for New Year’s Eve but we had a terrible experience with the exception of the service. Our sever was very polite and was very adamant about making sure we were doing okay. Both of us are not ones to confront the restaurant at the time so we figured we’d leave a review. We started with the Antipasto and we were served slimy large pieces of salami, the ham literally tasted like they pulled it out of a plastic package 10 minutes earlier. Along with that we were given probably 5 cheese cubes and a few pieces of crumbled bleu cheese. When it came to our entrees, we were hardly able to enjoy them because of how nauseous the starter made us. Even if the entrees were good, which they were not… (Girlfriends ravioli was undercooked and my “house made” pesto pasta was completely over cooked and squishy. The chicken on top for an extra $8 was four slices of cold chicken breast that was stringy and frankly unlike any chicken I have had before. We were very dissatisfied and bummed that our New Year’s Eve dinner ended up like that. I hope that this was a product of the one night menu. For a $90 tab we got an app and two entrees and...
