I don’t like to write negative reviews, however, for my friend’s birthday celebration it’s warranted. We were never served food or even ordered. Atmosphere had negative vibes as soon as the manager barged in with whatever he’s battling internally. We had reservations for a birthday party and were excited to celebrate — but from the moment we walked in, the experience was disappointing. The manager approached our group with a hostile, controlling attitude that immediately set a negative tone. Instead of welcoming guests, he escalated things unnecessarily, even coming back to confront a guest over something that wasn’t said.
Our group — and another party nearby — chose to leave and take our business elsewhere. In total, the restaurant lost out on significant revenue from guests who simply wanted to enjoy their time and spend money. Additionally, parking is almost nonexistent, and after one encounter with the management, it’s easy to understand why neighboring businesses have no interest in working with them.
As a group of women who own and operate businesses ourselves, it’s clear: toxic leadership will sink even the best restaurant. We found a much better place to celebrate and were happy to support a business that values its customers.

Thank you for your response. If your venue has a capacity policy that prevents large groups from being seated together in a specific area, it's your staff's responsibility to understand that policy— and not seat those parties in that area. It is not the customer's job to guess your unspoken rules. It's also important to note that the impact of your manager's behavior extended beyond our group. The table we swapped with was understanding, and the decision of several customers to leave was a direct result of your manager's actions. This is evident from the negative reviews left by other customers who were appalled by the situation. Let's also be honest about what happened: the male manager escalated what was, at best, a minor issue. Pushing two female guests aside to make a point is never acceptable behavior. The vulgar language you referenced came after that unprofessional contact — and the manager responded in kind, which clearly disqualifies any claim of being offended. Leadership should de-escalate conflict, not fuel it. I don't make a habit of leaving negative reviews. In fact, supporting local is a cornerstone of who I am and what I do — both personally and professionally. But supporting local shouldn't mean excusing toxic leadership. If you truly want community support, start by creating an environment that respects its guests and builds positive relationships. Again, please cut out toxic leadership & build relationships with your neighbors. You'll need their support when your clientele grows and you're depending on their parking to serve your customers. Thank you for your time. I sincerely hope that this feedback serves as a catalyst for positive change and helps you improve...
Read moreManagement is incredibly rude. Since you can not respond to a businesses response please read this response to the owner's response... No one repeatedly communicated a policy during our short visit. No one asked anyone not to rearrange tables; however "The Manager" appeared and abruptly began moving furniture while shoving me out of the way with his arm and repeated over and over, "We are not doing this." He then stated I don't come to your house and rearrange furniture. I told him this wasn't a home, but I would put everything back, and help pick up behind our party. He just continued repeating himself as if I couldn't hear. This was my first and only interaction with a staff member. The same server was waiting on all 3 tables in a row. Nothing in the number of customers changed. Putting an 8 top and 6 top together, and sliding a 4 top over did not create a unfair situation for patrons, nor was it an obstruction for safety reasons as the stairs/exit are across the patio. It did however allow a "The Manager" to display his agressiveness and desire to not accomodate a group. There were 3 people standing behind the bar on their phones that could have said something, but nothing was said until "The Manager" came from behind me and threw his arms in front of me to let me know his superiortity at the establishment. His actions are what caused every patron upstairs to leave. They asked if I was ok in the parking lot upon their exit, and expressed their sympathy for the way I/we were treated. The only employee anyone made contact with was the man who introduced himself as "The Manager." Someone did tell him he was acting like a jerk, but they used a differnet word. However, this was immediately following him throwing his arms infront of me, making physical contact with me, standing over me and repeating himself over and over again.
Several people in our party left a review, as the experience was overwhelmingly negative and confrontational. This was their experience. They are not spamming a business page. However, several people I do not know also left a reivew, and this establishment copied and pasted their response intended for our group to every review without asking anyone about their personal expereince.
There are additional reviews that express how this establishment makes customers feel like its a privilege to be a customer here. There is a culture problem and it starts at the top. We have left multiple messages for the owners since Saturday April 26. When we followed up today April 30 we were told by "The Manager" their response was on our review. I've never left a bad review and I hoped we would have a conversation so I could remove...
Read moreMy dining companion and I began our meal with the Bacon Cheese Fries. They were fresh and well cooked with delicious bacon crumbles. The beer cheese and buffalo drizzles added an elegant touch. My dinner partner had Bangers and Mash. Great tasting sausage with superb seasoning. It was a nice portion with gravy atop the sausage and mashed potatoes. This meal was perfect for him as he likes "all-you-can-eat" Mash. I had the Fish and Chips. This is where the "wheels came off" of the meal for me. The dish was underlain by chips, bare fries of the same variety as the appetizer which made them less appetizing. This was on me as I had my fill of fries with the Bacon Cheese Fries. The fish appeared to be a generous portion with a dark crunchy batter. The batter was good but perhaps too brown (but it is called brown beer batter). The fish was overcooked and chewy. I think that the batter was so brown due to the over cooking. Separately, the batter had a good taste but overdone in my opinion. I should have sent the meal back but as a first timer to Feed and Folly, I wanted to eat as much as possible to verify that my taste buds were working properly. I used malt vinegar and a bit of tartar sauce. I did like the tartar sauce, something that I usually find too pickled. Adding the vinegar and tartar sauce could not overcome the texture of the fish. Our waiter Alan was the perfect waiter, attentive but not overly so. The pace of the meal was somewhat quick, but it was lunchtime, and we were hungry. We entered through the back door. The restaurant was dimly lit, and we sat against the back wall, so it is hard for me to render an opinion regarding the atmosphere. I appreciate cushioned seating, Feed and Folly seating is of the wooden chair variety. I do think Feed and Folly provides a great value as the meals were well priced. I will go back as there are other menu items that...
