Dairy Queen is our fav out of all the options out there and luckily this one is super close to home. They usually close earlier than others so we don’t get it that often or as often as we would like lol My son has been sick last few months and wanted to treat him today so went in before dinner to get a few things. Made an order for 3 things nothing crazy and after paying saw their new dipped cone we been wanting to try so ordered that separate. I tipped on both transactions as I’m someone who feels I should every time to service workers. But today 03/31 there was two younger girls working who were busy but nothing crazy and they were not friendly at all and seemed annoyed. I ordered my son a couple things but one was a kids cone but he likes the cone put upside down in a cup which is usually his go to order and they gave me just a cup of ice cream. No biggie, I said what I wanted and that it was no prob if I could just get a cone and I’ll fix it at home and they didn’t respond just handed me a cone annoyed. I was by myself and had my whole order plus a drink and a banana split that was leaking so I asked if I could please get a bag so I could hopefully get it all out to my car and up my three flights of stairs without spilling it lol I didn’t give the whole speech though just asked for a bag and the girl annoyed once again told me no that the bags are for pick up orders… which is crazy. That’s what I was doing picking up a order to go for myself as a paying customer too and I would have gladly paid for the bag if that was necessary. I am hardly one to complain or make bad reviews unless I feel it’s warranted. I get these girls are young and this is prob one of their first jobs but they are in customer service and working for any company you’re that company’s face and no matter where you work you should take pride in what you do. Smile and be friendly because you never know what that customer is going through and a good feeling kind interaction could just make their day. Experiences like this make you want to take your business elsewhere. I don’t want to feel like I’m bothering someone to...
Read moreHonest to god, it’s like walking into another dimension in here. A simple order for a dip cone can take up to 30 minutes. I’ve lost all hope of ever experiencing an Orange Julius here, it’s always broken. Which, whatever, I don’t need one, but at this point, just put a sign up that says you don’t sell it. Or cover your existing ones with an “out of order” sign.
My favorite thing I’ve seen here is when there was a line out the door, one of three employees said he was going to go make change so that their drawer had cash, and with not a single urgent step in his gait, walked out and left two employees to handle a rush with no cash. They seemed brand new, staring with confusion at both the order screen and their register. Although who really knows, in this dimension of apathy, they could own the store.
I was still in the store when he returned nearly 30 minutes later (where did you make change dude?? You’re literally next to a grocery store, just jog over there and ask for some $1’s!). So were many other customers, still waiting on simple orders. I work retail, so I’m generally very understanding of everything that goes on in these kind of environments, but man. This place...
Read moreMy friend and I were going to go to Dairy Queen on 104th and federal. We got some dinner and was eating it in the car and we parked in front of the of the Dairy Queen. And we witnessed something I’ve never seen before. The employees were throwing dirty water at each other like a water fight and it was getting all over the register, behind the register, the counters, and the entire lobby. The 2 girls were I believe flirting with the male employee. We witnessed the girls leaving and filling up a clear blender with dirty water from somewhere outside, not sure where they were getting it from. This was going on for 45 minutes. Customers were still coming in and ordering. And we’re stepping around the huge puddles of water. Honestly it was embarrassing to see such a behavior and the lack of common decency. Someone could have slipped and fell for sure. And who knows where that dirty black water landed. Be aware. I would go elsewhere. Dairy...
