Former employee there. This location favors workers who come into work high on either speed, cocaine, or alcohol. There is a manager-to-be who, on January 18th, split a bottle of vodka with a minor employee, and invited another minor to the next time she plans to bring another bottle. This same manager has previously called out twice due to being too high to come in and open, and is generally rude to other workers. Another minor has been caught not once, not twice, but THREE times under the influence of speed, and the sole reason she has been fired was because she was two hours late to her shift the day after the third time. The store manager claims to be a good manager but proceeds to talk bad about employees to their coworkers; therefore, the employee morale has been reduced quite a bit. Both the store manager and the franchisee owner are aware of most, if not all, incidents of crime being committed at the place of business. The most they will do is promote the manager-to-be who, again, gave a minor and offered another a substance they are not legal to have. Out of all these incidents, there has been one confirmed suicide attempt from one of the minors due to the stress and panic that they will be in danger from those who regularly work under the influence. The fact a lowly employee is trying to resolve these serious issues the right way instead of management should tell you what kind of management is running this particular location.
I mean, the pizza's good. However, if you're a minor looking for a place to work, do yourself a favor and don't apply to work in this toxic...
Read moreEdit: I have to add I went in today to get a couple of pizzas because I am exhausted and just don't want to cook. I'm really picky and don't like pizza but I found out recently that I really liked the barbecue chicken calzone at Papa John's. I asked the lady there if they could possibly make a barbecue chicken pizza on half of it and just leave the other half bare and I would make myself my own calzone. I forgot to get her name but I believe it was probably the manager, she refused. She was on her way out to take a break and ask me if I could just wait a minute and she would rather make the pizza for me, but also make it into a calzone. she said they used to have calzones there and she was happy to do it. She was back within a couple of minutes and charged me regular price and made me a beautiful calzone that I cannot wait to get home to eat! That was awesome and I wish there was something I could do to express my appreciation for her kindness to a really tired mommy! Every experience I have had here has been awesome and I'm always surprised because it's usually with younger teens but this one definitely was the best experience!
I'm going to throw this out there. They made a small mistake on our pizza... I still gave them five stars. They were awesome. Really personable, and the most staffed Papa Murphy's I've ever seen. I was shocked at how many kids I saw working. That was awesome and they weren't in there...
Read moreI give the franchise itself 5 stars of course, Papa Murphy's has always been apart of my life. This specific location is not bad at all, but the 3 stars is due to the last few visits, I call in and order, tells me it will be about 15 minutes, I arrive around 20 minutes later, I'm told it will be again, about 15 minutes.... As well once again, the salad I got had the bottom end of the lettuce chopped up into there. Absolutely unacceptable that the employees are not even instructed on how to properly chop the lettuce for their salads. I wouldn't usually go out of my way to write a review, but like I said, this was not the first time with this location. Young kids or not, this was a management...
