I just cancelled my order after what was without a doubt one of the WORST dining experience of my life! It’s bad enough that the food is bland, at best. But the service , or lack there of from our throughly disinterested server, Jen, was appalling. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who was as miserable to have a job or was as disinterested in actually working while at work. And ironically I went there because it was recommended by my employer, Navy Federal since they give a 10% discount. From audibly sighing and huffing when she took our drink orders I knew it was not going to be a good experience. She got a big top party a few minutes after bringing our water and basically ignored my husband and I from that point on. She slapped down a god awful looking plate of chopped iceberg lettuce with some orangish looking drizzle when she brought his ginger salad. She never brought any flatware or better yet napkins. We literally had to stand up twice and get her attention away from her texting at the bar to put our orders in. She never once asked how anything was, if we needed anything or noticed/cared that he obviously did not touch his salad. My friend roll was barely lukewarm and took 20 mins to make and after waiting almost half an hour for his simple chicken and steak combo dinner (hibachi style which takes no time to make) and being blatantly ignored by her multiple times as we tried to get her attention in passing, we just gave up. We canceled our orders, paid for what little we had eaten ( no discount taken either btw) and left. We both work in customer service and no what it’s like to deal with the public and that sometimes you just don’t want to be there. And we have both served/cooked/and or bartended. So we get that as well. But never in my life have I ever felt as awkward , frustrated or that I was an inconvenience when spending money as I did tonight with that horrible service. A word of advice to Jen; if you hate your life and job that much honey, you obviously need to find a new one! And to everyone else , avoid this place at all cost! Or at least until management hires people who actually take pride in their work and want to make money. Which is ironic for ole Jen, since we are very generous tippers and had planned on ordering a lot. I will definitely share my experience tomorrow at work. And suggest that Navy Federal stop promoting a business who obviously doesn’t a flip about customers or staying in business. What a disappointment! If I could give this place , and Jen, negative...
Read moreUnfortunately, the experience that I had with a friend was not good due to the waitress doing a horrendous job in my opinion. I believe that one of the reasons people go out to eat is for the experience of being taken care of by their waitress or waiter. I was told that the restaurant sold good quality sushi, which isn't the best nor the worst. Personally, I'll admit that I have high standards after living in Tokyo, Japan for 2 years.
Going out to eat is a luxury and one that I happen to enjoy, which I work hard for in order to do. People have recommended to eat at various sushi places and this hasn't been one of them but I wanted to try this place to give my friends the recommendation of visiting here. Now, I will do the complete opposite because I don't plan to visit this restaurant again. I've never received this type of terrible service since I've been going out to eat at restaurants in any of the countries that I've visited across the world. A third world country has provided me with better service than what my friend and I received last week.
My friend had to get up twice to get things for us. The first time was to simply retrieve napkins, which wasn't a problem. The issue was that we waited for a very long time before my friend couldn't wait any longer and left the table to ask for napkins. The last time that she got up from the table was to get a bag to place our leftovers inside. I'm not certain why my friend and I did to deserve this type of treatment but I was appalled that we were being treated as though we were trash. I've lived in Pensacola, FL for approximately 2 years now and I've ate at a lot of different restaurants, which I'll gladly recommend except this place. Avoid this location if you want to be treated with respect.
The quality of the sushi is about 4/10. The nigiri salmon was decent, which is sad because that's my favorite...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would . To start we waited 10 minutes at the door while the waitresses sat in the corner only to be told we could sit anywhere we want . When we sat down we waited about 10 minutes to take our drinks and put in our app. After 15 minutes we finally got our drinks and she took our order. At this time we have waited 30 minutes and our drinks were completely empty and she was still standing in a corner talking . at about 45 minutes waiting for our food she finally comes over and refills our drinks and gives us a coupon for 50% off our next purchase but it only had a $10 max limit . You can't even get a roll for under that price . at that point we were really irritated . After waiting an HOUR she comes up to us and says hey this table just left and I thought y'all could eat on this while you wait . I thought it was a kind gesture but one of the rolls on the plate was one of the rolls my friend ordered but the waitress inferred us that we wouldn't be charged for the free sushi she brought . after an hour and 15 minutes she finally brings our rolls and she brought me my two but my friend only one roll and she said I brought the one because you already had your other roll on the plate THE FREE FOOD SHE GAVE US THAT WE SHARED! So she didn't get her other roll she was promised and paid $30 for terrible service and my rolls were barely kept together. I am a waitress and I always understand circumstances but this was unacceptable and we will not be back. Its sad because this use to be our place but y'all need better time management and...
