Hubby, baby, and I came here for dinner and were sceptical at first glance. Several other Mexican restaurants in Flagstaff were packed but not this little place. But we were in for a surprise! We got seated immediately and our orders were taken quickly. Our food came very fast compared to some other busier sit-down restaurants- did I mention that the menu has very many options (it was hard to decide which to try!) and the entrees are very economical? Hubby ordered a Chile Relleno dinner with a cheese enchilada on the side. (I've included a photo) He said it was delicious! I ordered a Carne Asada Torta and a Taco Adobado. It was all delicious but the torta brought me back to my childhood years living in Mexico! It was amazing! Also their Horchata is spot on authentic and super delicious! Free refills! Bottom line- if you are in the area and want a nice quiet, little restaurant with great service and a most delicious, authentic meal that won't drain your entire wallet- By all means, give this little gem a try! You won't be disappointed! I seriously wish this restaurant was in my hometown, not about 15 hours away!

I visited Las Gorditas Mexican Food with high expectations due to its positive Google reviews. Sadly, the experience fell short. The food was overly salty and lacked the authentic flavors one would expect from Mexican cuisine. We tried a variety of dishes, including steak and chicken fajitas, a carne asada burrito, and a combination platter of enchiladas, but they all left us wanting more in terms of taste. The fajitas where missing sour cream and guacamole. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere seemed like a small family-run business. To improve, I would recommend reducing the saltiness and infusing more traditional flavors to elevate the dining experience. As of now, I must admit, the overall impression of the food was rather "blahhh." However, I genuinely hope the restaurant can make necessary changes and succeed in the future. I wish this small family run business the best.

Loved this place! My favorite kind of place; simple, cozy, inviting, local, hole in the wall. Family owned. They were so nice. We called ahead to make sure they had room, and when we arrived they already had a table ready for us! The food was fantastic! It all looked amazing and I really enjoyed my dinner. I eat tacos all over DFW in Texas and all over elsewhere and I really enjoyed the tacos here. Tried the adovada pork and carne asada tacos that they recommended (I got the small tacos - I like that they offer small and regular sized tacos; small size were like the size of street tacos in mexico). I also tried the weekend special tamale with red mole. Really good! Also got to try a bite of the quesadilla - looked and tasted great, good ratio of cheese to other stuff. Would be here all the time if I lived here. Great prices too!

We are from California where they have pretty good mexican food. After reading the reviews we decided to try this place out. First of all they do give free refills on regular drinks. I ordered one taco adovados, and one Carne asada taco. The meat was very flavorful and there was absolutely no fat or gristle. The meat was also not tough. The salsa bar was fun and very good. Lots of selections. My husband ordered the green chili plate (chili verde) the pork, again, was excellent. No fat or gristle and very flavorful. Beans and rice were also very good. Rice was fluffy. He also ordered a chili relleno. He said great flavor and great sauce. Wasn't over spicy. The prices are really reasonable. The food also came out very fast. Our server, Patty, was very cheery and personable. Can't wait to come back to Flagstaff next year. We will definitely be...
