I went to the 4th Street truck for the first time this Saturday with a friend who had been there many times and raved about it. It did not disappoint. I got the Mayor and it was one of the best burritos I have every had. All ingredients were prepared perfectly. The asada had a great char on it and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Everything had great seasoning and the combination of flavors was forced me to finish the entire thing in one sitting despite being full after eating only half (it is a good sized burrito). Its the same cookie cutter food, not very flavorful with cheap tasting ingredients. The rare times I find a higher quality Mexican food, you are often paying a lot of money for a small portion size. Tres amigos has the perfect combo. You get a very sizable portion of great tasting food. I think this is impossible to find in Flagstaff. I’d stick to the pastor or seafood at this place. Carne asada was over-seasoned pan fried beef.
