Visited this place for my first and last time today. Almond chicken half of it was burnt the sauce was a beef gravy never have I received a beef gravy for almond chicken. Menu says it’s on a bed of lettuce no lettuce in my dish. They told us they do dine in, come in they served us in all to go containers. Fried rice was ok. Egg roll or spring roll it says on the menu when we indicated egg roll the lady says it comes with an egg roll. Yes but it says egg or spring on the menu. This was not an egg roll it had no sprouts or shrimp. It was the size of an egg roll with more like spring roll inside. The wonton soup tasted like turkey broth and the wontons were stuffed with what looked like beef they were not good at all none of the usual greens in the soup. This is like 1/3 of the portion and higher priced than my usual Chinese place I love. We chose it because they dine in. But really if I wanted to eat out of to go containers and plastic utensils I would have went where I know the food is excellent. I ate less than half my food for $20. And we left the to go containers there lol…My friend ordered a water and they charged $2 dollars for a bottle water. What restaurant doesn’t have tap water available to dine in customers? This one…… When we asked about it she told us it’s in the menu. No it’s on the front of the menu. Who reads the front of the menu? And it doesn’t say no tap water, just a price for bottled water. The plum sauce and sweet and sour sauce are an unusual neon colors and tasted pretty chemically. I asked for sugar for my hot tea she brought me sweet and low. I mean I guess she thought I needed to be on a diet lol. They had a cup for the tea but I guess tap water won’t go in a tea cup lol. And no fortune cookie even Panda Express gives fortune...

this was the week of June 2nd. When I asked ann or Anne why they don't have bean sprouts in the egg rolls anymore she told me "the supplier won't deliver them to her anymore so they can't sell them". So how did you have them today when they can't get them delivered?
I have been going to China house for literally 18 years. It WAS my favorite Chinese place, had the best egg rolls around. Would drive 30+ minutes just for them.
This year it has gone downhill. While the dining room has finally opened up for dining, they moved the register to the back near the kitchen so there is just this empty space as soon as you walk in. Before, there was a fish tank and everything right there behind the counter, it was a very welcoming environment to walk into. Now, not so much.
Food is mediocre at best. Sweet and sour chicken had minimal flavor. The worst part, for whatever reason, they decided to stop getting the bean sprouts. So the egg rolls are absolute garbage now. The wanton soup, flavorless and greasy.
Overall, I personally am devastated with the way it has ended up. I found a new (to me) Chinese place with the egg...
Read moreI do not want to the restaurant a bad review solely based on my personal taste preference. If you ask 100ppl their favorite chinese restaurant, you'll get 100 different answers.
Over analysis of the food:
Egg rolls - Sprouts eggrolls, not cabbage. Good stuff!
Almond Chicken- Boooo. They serve the thin, watery, dark brown beef gravy (incredibly salty, too). Not the good , thick flour gravy that was offered at Panda garden, Hawaiian Island, etc.
Crab Rangoon/ Delight- Needs more cream cheese
Wonton- Looks a little weird. Like ghost dumpings. I wouldn't eat the meat center so not sure how it taste
General Tso Chicken- looked great, small pieces as opposed to large chuncks that other places have.
I really liked the smaller, not as thick pieces of chicken . It balances the flavor of breading vs chicken
Overall it was good: fast carryout , nice portions, friendly staff, decent tasting. I would mostly recommend, unless you prefer the thick, chicken flour gravy with...
