I love smoothie king. However tonight I was given the absolute worst service. I pulled in at 8:40. Smoothie king closes at 9:00pm The line was really long, but I made it there with plenty of time and I don't mind waiting 20 minutes for a really good smoothie. I figured (as any normal customer would) that they would service customers in line prior to the 9:00 closing time. I FINALLY make it up to the ordering spot at exactly 9:00 PM. And they say "sorry, we're no longer taking any more orders." I called to speak with the manager And she did not even attempt to make it right for the customer, even though there was only myself and one other car and I had been waiting for 20 minutes. "we will be here all night if we dont stop taking order at closing time" You have a closing time for a reason. I get that, but why could you not service customers that were there before closing, especially when it is only 2 customers. If covid didnt exist, would you kick customers out that were inside before 9:00? Likley not, you would make them a smoothie. This is just an absolutely terrible policy and I'm disappointed that the manager wasn't trained to properly deal with the situation. A good manager could have easily diffused the situation and serviced 2 more customers very easily, then informed the customers of the their policy to set a precedent going further. I knew this was b/s since they close at 9 and there were 3 employee's cars in the parking lot. I drove off and then called the location on the phone to ask what time do they close tonight. Again they told me they closed early due to short staffing. I asked him what time was it that they ended up closing at and he didn't have an answer. I then asked for the name of the manager as I wanted to talk to them tomorrow and the exact response I received was " you don't need to know that information." Read moreWhen I went to this smoothie King, I observed some concerns with the workers that took away from the overall atmosphere and service. This was today around 3:30-4pm. The worker Ashely was taking my order while trying to manage the drive-through to the best of her ability. She was kind and professional but clearly not being supported by other staff members. I heard her verbally requesting help with the drive through and the other workers came out from the back. They started to make smoothies and then stopped to giggle at something on their phone multiple times while orders were still coming in.
