We had stopped by on our way into town it was about 8pm. The lady behind the counter had her bf there and they were sitting at a table when we came in (nothing wrong with that) but as we walked over to where the Laffy taffy and the cool purses where the bf made a sarcastic comment about my "sexy" outfit. The girl said to him " what you don't want me to wear an outfit like that? He laughed and said mayne the pants but not the rest of it. I'm a very timid quiet person and was embarrassed they were talking about me so I didn't say anything but I was blown away by the rudeness, I wanted to just walk out without my ice cream but my husband seemed to not see what was going on so I thought I was over thinking things. Well when we when out to the car he came up to the counter to where the girl was standing and continued talking about me while looking back behind him laughing at me. I was just on the cold beach I was not as concerned about my outfit as apparently they were. Just a very rude experience and I regret spending...
Read moreI adore the coconut chip ice cream, it is such a delight. I would not normally order something like that. However, it was recommended by a friend and thoroughly enjoyed. Their ice cream is very dense and rich. They do have quite a selection, including sherbet, that I'm sure would be lighter, if that's what you prefer.
Steer clear of the baked goods unless you can confirm they were made the same day. I tried the tiramisu and was horribly disappointed by the stale cake and cream. I threw it out after the second bite.

Overall, it's a tiny, cute place with classic pink and white parlor atmosphere. Wonderful for a casual date, friends meetup, or the whole family. They're open very late at night especially in the summer. Great for those late...
Read moreWe come to Florence every few months and we love to get ice cream for our evening treat when we are in town. It is kind of a tradition we have made. Since the DQ is burned down we have been going to BJ’s. The ice cream is always good but the service is terrible every single time. They always have teenagers working which I think is great. However, every time my husband orders a shake, they roll their eyes and get all irritated to have to make it. We pay good money for the high prices that they have there and don’t appreciate the attitudes of the workers. There was a time we came in and the employee had her boyfriend in the lobby and was openly complaining to him about having to help us and another time the guy there rushed us and tried to get us to order faster because they were closing in 10 mins. It appears the DQ is being built back up so I guess we may have to take our business there...
